“The Gin Mill is exactly what you're looking for, if you want a local dive bar with some distinctly interesting and unique characteristics. Read the other reviews and you'll get the right idea. They make a pretty decent home-style fried burger for a few bucks -- exactly what I needed and vastly superior to a fast food burger. Not gourmet by any stretch but better than I expected. I'd be happy to return. (BTW, there's virtually no AT&T data connectivity in this locale, so don't go there counting on it.)“
“Girly grills, delicious food narrowly Eclipse is the stellar service. A respectful nod to glorious Americana of the past, girly’s Grill brings joy to all who enter there! We enjoyed caramel apple french toast delectable enough to fight over, as well as strawberry waffles & homemade biscuits & gravy. Girly’s Grill is our family’s favorite new brunch spot!Parking: Tons of creative spots.Kid-friendliness: Girly’s gave us two coloring books and two packs of crayons for them. Extremely considerate and kind for all families!“
“"I recently visited Tables at the farm and had a wonderful experience. The portions of food were generous and delicious, especially the omelet with peppers, cheese, and ham. The crispy and tasty fries for only $3.00 as a side were a delightful addition to the meal. Though the food took a little while to arrive, the good customer service and pleasant atmosphere made up for it. The clean and inviting environment made me want to come back and try more dishes. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the summer for the patio experience. Overall, a great place to enjoy a satisfying meal!"“
“While I may have a bias as a six year server at the Steaming Tender, I am truly blessed to be a part of our team. My fellow servers are genuinely friendly and eager to learn, each bringing their authentic personality and sense of professionalism to the table. Our bartenders mix and match with the best of them, whether you fancy one of our rotating local draft beers, a seasonally curated cocktail, or a classic mocktail for those lighter days, they'll prepare you a beverage that will hit the spot with finesse, know-how, and a great conversation. Our chefs are some of the hardest working people I know, consistently innovating and executing a complex array of well-crafted dishes. They can have a seemingly endless amount of orders coming into their kitchen and still put their hearts and souls into every diner's plate. And the best part is, our dishwashers work seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring you needn't worry about a thing. Steaming Tender is fully family owned and operated and it shows. Our management values input, seeks new ways to expand and improve, and strive to create a positive work environment. Lastly, but certainly not least, the preservation of this historical landmark of Palmer keeps our rich American history alive. I truly believe H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmsted would be proud. If you appreciate delicious food, delightful service, and a deep dive into local history I encourage you to choo-choo-choose the Steaming Tender.Vegetarian options: Seasonal salads, secret garden veggie burger, basil pomodoroDietary restrictions: Vegan options, gluten free options. Accommodating kitchen.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love watching the trains go by, the birthday song, and sitting in the shoe shine station. The patio in the summer time is always a wow moment as well. Be sure to check out the grounds filled with antique stagecoach, train memorabilia, and genuine 1915 Porter Locomotive.Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped area in the curbing next to the red dining car, beside handicap parking.“
“McCarthys Pub is an amazing place! Excellent and reasonably priced food, nice cold beer and a friendly and pleasant staff. It is by far my favorite place to go! Give them a try, l guarantee you will not be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Even though Janines Frostie is more than an hour away, the drive is always worthwhile.Excellent food and ice cream, amiable service, and regular live music make this a fantastic stop for foodies on a day trip or weekend getaway. Janines will provide a wonderful treat to cap off your day, whether it's after a bike ride, a Sunday drive, a stroll through Quabbin, or just a trip to have ice cream with the kids. The menu offers a good selection of seafood dishes in addition to the more unusual pot roast poutine, corn dogs, sassy sow dogs, and hamburgers and hot dogs.“
“Sunday breakfast buffet was mint.Lunch on a Saturday not so much.Fried food was super soaked in grease and the pot pie had very little filling and tasted more like cream of can soup. The server was trying her best for the 5 tables but it seemed super short staffed in the kitchen as well as front of house. Will return for a 2nd chance for sure.“
“It's a fun little establishment to hang out on the outdoor patio with friends on a Friday after work. They have live music, but left before the musicians started.Ordered a couple of apps - fried pickles and bourbon wings. Apps were served fast, fresh and hot. Robust portions are great for sharing.Bartender was the only one on site - she juggled inside and outside quite nicely. Checking in frequently on her customers.“
“Tried Tony & Penny's yesterday for the first time for lunch. Dined with my fiance & Father, who had been here before & had positive things to say. We were told that we could seat ourselves & enjoyed a very nice meal. The atmosphere was comfortable, clean & cozy. Specials were listed upon entering. Our waitress was friendly & pleasant. Service was great. My Dad ordered the Cajun swordfish, which he liked & had the kale soup with that, he also said was good, my fiance got the Roast Sirloin & mashed potatoes/veggies & a salad, he was happy with his choice, and I ordered the Chicken Francaise over linguine, and the chicken soup, which I enjoyed. Everything was delicious & freshly made, you could tell. Overall, I think Tony & Penny's is a nice restaurant that I would definitely recommend. They also have a private banquet room, for special functions/occasions. I don't venture out to Ludlow often, but I would stop in again, if in the area! Photo is of me & my Father.Parking: Plenty of parking available.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance.“
“Nice casual local restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Also has a walk up window for service. Very good menu selection for the casual diner with daily specials and soups. Full breakfast available on weekends with breakfast sandwiches weekdays. Menu prices low for our area. Ice cream is a big add to their overall attraction with both soft serve and hard ice creams with multi variations. Yummy. Parking is convenient. Property is clean with diner style decor. You order at a counter and clear your table when finished. Bring the kids, they can draw on the wall-size chalkboard .“
“I enjoy the pizza as takeout. The atmosphere for dine-in is very casual. I am a vegetarian and ordered the eggplant parmesan which I never would have guessed has a sauce which contains chicken broth. Luckily the waiter let me know and substituted it out with marinera.Vegetarian options: Make sure to ask first to make sure there is no chicken broth in the sauce of whatever you order.“
“My husband and I visited for the first time recently. We sat at the bar, where the bartender was very friendly and efficient. My husband had the half rack of baby back ribs and I had the chicken Marsala. The meals came with fresh green salads and delicious warm rolls, accompanied by butter and olive oil/red wine vinegar/seasoning. The food was very good and the portions were extremely generous. I got two lunches out of my leftovers! The prices are very reasonable. It is a friendly, local establishment and we chatted with some nice folks at the bar. Very relaxing, home town feel with friendly staff.“
“Stopped in for a quick meeting and ordered the French Onion Soup which was excellent. I also got the SMOKED chicken wings with the dry rub. These wings were the best wings. Perfectly smoked and then fried; juicy and crispy. I wish I lived closer. I would order these every time.“
“Please be advised that on March 17 a patron of this restaurant had a bad experience. She proceeded to post about it on Facebook and several friends stated they were going to give Root 20 a bad review online. I have no problem with someone sharing their experience, but it’s not fair if people who have never visited write bogus reviews without having, a first-hand knowledge of the restaurant. It’s great to look online and be able to see what others have thought of a restaurant but, sadly, as with all things Internet related, there are some false reviews. I frequently visit route 20 and love the food and the staff. The owners are incredibly generous to , the community both in Wilbraham and Springfield. I am a public school teacher and route 20 has been very generous to my school and others.“
“Went on a Saturday late afternoon and they were not too busy. The main parking lot is a little small, but just behind them is a larger lot. The staff are very friendly and pleasant to talk with. The food was great and seemed like the portions were bigger than most other restaurants. Had a fun time and definitely will be back again.“
“The food here is amazing and the employees are super nice and friendly and they always try to get to know everyone and treat you like family. The place is very clean and well decorated and has a nice vibe to it, and this place is so popular that it's always full of nice people and sometimes you have to make reservation and what's great is they will call and let you know when there's the free spot in everything super amazing. I highly recommend you coming here and checking it out“
