“The food here is amazing and the employees are super nice and friendly and they always try to get to know everyone and treat you like family. The place is very clean and well decorated and has a nice vibe to it, and this place is so popular that it's always full of nice people and sometimes you have to make reservation and what's great is they will call and let you know when there's the free spot in everything super amazing. I highly recommend you coming here and checking it out”
“The food was amazingly good as far as what was ordered. I can only imagine how good the next order will be, can’t wait. Closest to Bx, Ny‘s Chinese I’ve had in 25 yrs!!!”
“While I may have a bias as a six year server at the Steaming Tender, I am truly blessed to be a part of our team. My fellow servers are genuinely friendly and eager to learn, each bringing their authentic personality and sense of professionalism to the table. Our bartenders mix and match with the best of them, whether you fancy one of our rotating local draft beers, a seasonally curated cocktail, or a classic mocktail for those lighter days, they'll prepare you a beverage that will hit the spot with finesse, know-how, and a great conversation. Our chefs are some of the hardest working people I know, consistently innovating and executing a complex array of well-crafted dishes. They can have a seemingly endless amount of orders coming into their kitchen and still put their hearts and souls into every diner's plate. And the best part is, our dishwashers work seamlessly behind the scenes, ensuring you needn't worry about a thing. Steaming Tender is fully family owned and operated and it shows. Our management values input, seeks new ways to expand and improve, and strive to create a positive work environment. Lastly, but certainly not least, the preservation of this historical landmark of Palmer keeps our rich American history alive. I truly believe H.H. Richardson and Frederick Law Olmsted would be proud. If you appreciate delicious food, delightful service, and a deep dive into local history I encourage you to choo-choo-choose the Steaming Tender.Vegetarian options: Seasonal salads, secret garden veggie burger, basil pomodoroDietary restrictions: Vegan options, gluten free options. Accommodating kitchen.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love watching the trains go by, the birthday song, and sitting in the shoe shine station. The patio in the summer time is always a wow moment as well. Be sure to check out the grounds filled with antique stagecoach, train memorabilia, and genuine 1915 Porter Locomotive.Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped area in the curbing next to the red dining car, beside handicap parking.”
“007's a little doughy for my liking. Same for egg rolls. Everything else was good. Got 2 dinners @ $12.50/EA and split. It was around 8pm so it was quiet. My friend used the Ladies room and she said it was kinda dirty. I usually get dinners ToGo. For about $26 I have enough for days. Love Chinese leftovers!”
“I have been here a few times over the last year and a half. Every time the food has been great, the staff has been fantastic, and the portions for the price have been remarkable. Stop in if you haven't been by!”
“I usually get pizza and wings takeout. They have some of the best tasting pizza in town. The California pizza is one of my favorites, but they make the best Chicken and Broccoli White Pizza around. Great looking sports bar and dining area. Friendly staff.”
“Gin Mill is amazing pub super friendly and great atmosphere it also very well nice and very clean and maintained, I highly recommend coming here and you can play pool here and it's super cheap 25 cents per ”
“Good old-fashioned breakfast. Great place and my go-to for a Sunday meal to start the day. Newspapers on the counter and a time capsule diner car. Carl cooks a great meal and his wife Cindy waits on you. On your way out, "Have a Golden!"Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible.”
“Amazing restaurant! I was able to meet the owners. Both the husband and wife were so friendly. I can't praise this restaurant enough. The food and experience here were unmatched. I would recommend everyone to try out their food, and reach out to them. They will not disappoint!”
“SCORE - Mass Pike, If you are passing through Springfield on your way to the Basketball Hall of Fame, or Jiminy Peak, this is a three pointer: wide selection, generous portions, and loved by the locals.”
“This is some of the best Greek style pizza I've had in a long time. I grew up on this style and haven't been able to find any satisfying places in my adult life. This place definitely surpassed my expectations and the prices are very fair! Will be back! Very satisfied.”
“CJ's is great, had excellent Prime Rib and Lobster dinners there recently. Staff was friendly and meals were served perfectly. Very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.”
“Good *hot* food. The spicy dishes have a good burn but not overwhelming. I had General Tso chicken; it was crispy with a very nice sauce, not too sweet. I hear the take out is just as good as dining in. It's a small building, parking and seating is limited. The atmosphere could use some help, it feels like a cafeteria. There is a table in the entrance breezeway that doesn't seem to have a purpose other than to trap you behind it if you want to hold the door open for anyone. All in all, great American Chinese food I look forward to having again.”
“Everyone working there is really really nice and the place was very clean and cozy. The Veal was fantastic, the cheese cake and lemon Chelo cake both blew me away!!!!”
