I gotta say, as a customer service professional, these guys know how to hire. In fact, I was there at around 2:30am today and the woman at the counter was so impressive that I don’t really know what to say—friendly, compassionate, the whole package. It’s just really hard to find, not just these days but in general. You earned a lifelong customer—thank you!

Service maybe a bit slow, but the calzone is really good. It is not greasy and it is filled well. $

The wait is painful, but goes by faster when you dream of the calzone that you will eat. Really good!

There is no public restroom or water for customers. I got my spinach and cheese calzone 25 minutes after they said it would be done and it only had 4 leaves of spinach.

I love dpdough usually, so I was very upset to have such an awful experience with them last night. My friend and I placed an order at 11:26 pm, and according to the confirmation email, it was set to arrive at 11:56 pm (I live approximately 10 minutes from the location). 11:56 comes and goes and we assume they are running late, no big deal, I work food service too so I understand when it's busy. After waiting an hour past the estimated arrival time (an hour and a half since ordering), we decide to call and see what is going on. We call twice only to be put on hold both times for 5+ minutes. Right as we are about to give up at 1:30am, now two hours after we ordered, the food arrives, almost ice cold. The flavor was fine but it was overall an extremely disappointing experience. I understand customer service can be busy, but it's the lack of communication that upset me. Most people wouldn't be willing to wait two hours in the middle of the night for a calzone.

This is the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I waited 50 minutes for my food. The staff especially the owner were extremely rude. They kicked us out to wait outside for the entire time and once we came in to pick up our order after 50 MINUTES he made us leave immediately before our entire party got their food. The owner repeatedly yelled at everyone in the restaurant and was extremely disrespectful. This is the worst experience you can have do not come here.

These guys have the best calzones I’ve had in 3 years, genuinely they deserve the most business in the Amherst area. Would bring anyone visiting.

By far the worst service I have ever had. Hour and a half to get the calzone

The old DP Dough is back and that's not a good thing. Limited options, ordering through a call center, not good sides. If you want a good calzone there's lots of options in Amherst, just avoid DP Dough.

DP Dough has fit their intended niche perfectly: good food at a great price with truly late business hours (until 2/3 am!!). A perfect combination for college students.
I ordered it through their website, which was a little quirky but great overall. It was cool they had so many premade options, but a little odd that translated into a small selection of toppings for the build your own. I have had my fair share of delivery from different restaurants and services, as well as to different locations, over the years. This is the first that came to my lobby entrance (and one proven to be tricky at that!) and the second to bring hot food. Ever. I didn’t even have to microwave it. A lovely employee called ahead and handed it to me. It was freezing and almost midnight, but she made the journey with a smile on her face. Very quick delivery too.
I got the cheese stix and spinner zone without spinach. They saw my note about no spinach and it was easy to make, which I really appreciate. The marinara sauce was smidge sweet, but barely noticeable. Most importantly, it was warm! No one wants cold marinara cups, so thank you!! Also they were generous with the sauce. Huge kudos for that. They stuffed a lot of stuff into that calzone, I’m impressed. Overall it was a little bland, but I did pick a bland option. The cheese stix were flavorful even without the garlic sauce, and were incredibly tasty. Definitely getting them again!
Not only was the price for the food good, the fees were noise, a $3 fee and a $1 tax. $22 for a meal at midnight and 2-3 meal’s worth of leftovers! It is so nice not having fees as much as the food itself. They are also in perfect boxes for putting in a minifridge.
I’m adding them to my rotation. Easy.
Go check them out!
