Food okay. Service TERRIBLE! We like to patronize local independent food establishments and generally don’t have high expectations. We like the adventure and are okay with the outcome. We popped into LaVeracruzana for a quick bite before a concert at the Mullins Center. We ordered at the counter and took our table number and sat down. In the FOURTY FIVE minutes we waited for food, they tried to deliver two other orders to us. We went back up to the counter twice after waiting 30 minutes and we were first told 5-10 minutes. I said we’d take the quesadilla as soon as it was ready. After finally getting our order presented 15 minutes later on the counter after they scrambled to find it, I patiently pointed out that this took 45 minutes, the young man’s immediate response was “I can give you a refund.” I declined. I was just hoping for an apology of any kind. I then asked for the sour cream my wife asked for when ordering and was told it was $1. I asked “even though we waited almost an hour you’re going to charge me a dollar?” Yes. (I also tipped 20% at check out). I politely asked “you aren’t even going to apologize for the long wait?” His response “I offered you a refund.” I said okay, I’ll take the refund. He said then I’d have to give the food back. Ugh. Good customer service isn’t that hard. Just be kind and reasonable. Too bad this guy is on the counter. The place seemed to be in a bit of chaos not able to track where orders belonged.

The food is tasty and portions are large. I had fish tacos... absolutely delicious. Others in our party had burritos that were huge and seriously stuffed. You can easily take half home.

I have eaten here a few times. The food is good but the service is lacking. When dining in, there have been multiple times when they have gotten my order wrong. Furthermore, when picking up, the people there make you wait for a while even when your order is ready for pick-up and the bag is right there.

Awesome drinks! The food has absolutely no flavor or seasonings in it. Don't waste your money or time here. Go to the HALAL CART. ITS CHEAPER AND HAS FLAVOR.
The bowl was ridiculously expensive and had almost no meat in it. The door kept opening and letting cold air in on us, and it took quite a while for us to get our mediocre food. Will not be coming back here.

I regularly get their potato and carrot enchilada with suiza sauce and it is to die for. The plates are large and definitely worth the money. I’ve tried some other dishes and none of them disappoint. Highly recommend to anyone visiting or living nearby that hasn’t tried.
