What a gem of a place. It doesn’t look like much when you walk it, aesthetically it’s nothing special. But this place makes up for it with their food. We had multiple appetizers, each of them so flavorful and fresh, the bread was delicious, the drinks were top notch and the pasta was to die for! Can’t wait to return… all the way from CT!

This was take-out menu from weekend. Chicken Parmigiana which was disappointing. Tough chicken and pasta sauce was like they opened a can of paste or sauce and dumped it on top. This is the second time for take out over the last couple of months and experience has been disappointing. Total bill for three dinners was $71. I could have picked up a frozen dinner at Big Y and had better results.

Have dined here several times and never had a bad time or meal. My daughter absolutely loves this place. Always gets the Bolognese. The focaccia is delicious as was the piccata. It was a little heavy with the lemons but still delicious. We will be returning.

Disappointed with the food. Nothing extraordinary. Humongous portions. That's it. The best things that was served was the free bread. Although the Service staff was delightful & supportive, the food was subpar. The beauty of true Italian food lies in the simplicity, not something overdone. Seems like it's a lost art.

Absolutely wonderful! As a first time visitor I was thrilled with the restaurant’s warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with its amazing appetizers and to die for entrees (particularly the chicken parm). Our waitress Maria was another major plus, as she was quick, friendly, and always made us feel taken care of. We were all so happy with the experience and will for sure come again!!

The food was overly salty, with the pasta sauce tasting like it came from a can. The fried ravioli was overcooked and hard to chew. What’s worse, the service was very poor, not even a smile from the server? Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience for us.
Pasta e Basta is such a cozy little restaurant in downtown Amherst. Whenever I had something to celebrate, or needed to have my spirits lifted, PeB was my first choice.
Service is always top notch, even when it is a busy night. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Food quality is outstanding. I’m a big fan of the alfredo in all forms. Though I had my favorites, whenever I tried something new, I was never, ever disappointed.

The experience was terrible, they forgot our order twice and they didn't understand that my sister (who was a toddler) just wanted bread and cheese. And when we finally got the food (after 90 minutes) it wasn't even that good.
