Fries were great and there was no wait!
We had one of the best meals we've ever had in western Mass recently at Protcol. It was our fourth or fifth time there and they're really perfecting their operation. Loved the short rib with arepas for 2, dill hummus, and mushroom spatzle. (sp). Killer cocktails always. Worth the drive from Northampton!
I ordered the liver mousse appetizer and it was scrumptious! Smooth, delicious, and plentiful. Very much worth the price!
Last minute plans to go out for drinks and food. Their hummus is the best I've ever had!
Everything we had was excellent. We went for Sunday brunch menu. The fries smash burger and donut of the day all very good. The iced hazelnut cocktail was superb. Wish we knew about this place sooner.
Incredibly rude staff
Not worth it.
Way overpriced for the size of the portions. Also you can’t modify any of the menu items not even sides. Had to order a basket of fries for 8 more dollars instead of a side of fries instead of the salad. Cool atmosphere though. Fancy bathroom.
This is a nice place. Went there with some friends to catch up, laugh, and gibby gab. Since I do not drink alcohol, I was intrigued by their mocktails. I was very disappointed when the waitress brought me my drink in a can. With a bar that advertises specialty drinks, one would think they could make their own mocktails.

Stopped in to Protocol when we landed in Amherst while doing some leaf peeping across central MA. They were doing their brunch menu. The menu wasn't huge, but everything on it was done spectacularly well - #SizeDoesn'tMatter. I had their omelette special and my wife had their Duck Poutine - they were both excellent. Made very well. We also had a couple of cocktails - if you get the chance to have their Spiced Pumpkin Spice Latte, definitely do it. Not too sweet with excellent flavor. We happen to get in when it wasn't busy, so we got great attention and were able to chat just a bit with the servers. Overall a great time - 5/5, would definitely recommend.

Imani and the owner (didn’t get his name) were so hospitable, warm and friendly. The food was incredible and I love their ale selection. And such a sexy vibe. The decor and even restrooms were elegant. I will definitely return here when I’m in Amherst. Highly recommend

This is def the best place to get drinks and dinner in Amherst. The food quality is actually amazing- I was pleasantly surprised. The summer salad is divine, Zucchini fritters - bangin! And the burger is BOMB. Now I willl say- my only complaint- please offer fries with that burger cuz I don’t want potato chips! But other than that everything is amazing. The drinks are fun and yummy and the vibes here are fabulous- cozy booths, friendly staff, plants, cute decor and gay friendly! Amherst has been NEEDING this. Thank you! I actually feel like I’m in a cool city eating here. No offense Amherst, but when I come in here and squint I can pretend I’m in chicago or NYC or something!

Since hearing about the opening of protocol, this has been on my list to try. My sisters and I went out for dinner and it did not disappoint! We decided to share a few of the small plates and everything was delicious from drinks to dessert. We had the roasted carrot hummus, zucchini fritters, bruschetta and butter chicken beignets. We each got a drink and were so impressed by the presentation and quality of everything. We then split the tres leches and olive oil cake. Both were delicious and tasted so fresh. We left already planning out our next visit to try more of the plates. Highly recommend checking this place out, if I lived closer this would definitely be a staple restaurant. Recommend the butter chicken beignets and zucchini fritters, the pictures don’t do the food justice but everything was 5/5 for us!!
