Wow! From our first planning call to the last bite at our wedding, Wheelhouse delivered an experience we will remember the rest of our lives. Jake and his team were organized, dependable, and absolutely talented.
We looked to incorporate a mix of food that represented our family’s Polish and Caribbean heritage, as well as our Massachusetts upbringing. Without hesitation, Jake was confident and excited about creating a menu to satisfy our unique criteria. When he presented the tentative menu it was very clear that he heard our vision and understood our desires— appetizers that included pierogies, empanadas, lobster rolls; mains that included an unforgettable arroz con Pato, which was indubitably the best duck I have ever had and lastly dessert that represented the fall season.
Everything tasted phenomenal and exceeded every expectation we had. Beyond the amazing taste of their food, Wheelhouse’s service was impeccable! China designed our menu and absolutely crushed it— she also went above and beyond the day of our wedding making sure every single table was satisfied with their meal.

Wheelhouse was by far the most responsive, organized, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. (One took weeks to respond and another ghosted us!) We decided to go with Wheelhouse's simpler drop-off catering option which met our needs and budget. Jake interviewed us about our food preferences and proposed an incredible creative menu with local, seasonal produce that also met the dietary need of our guests. Wheelhouse made every step of the process clear and easy, keeping us on schedule, reaching out to schedule calls, and handling all of the details with great care. They even gave us great advice on local rental companies, checked our rental item order, and advised us on bartending and other needs we weren't even hiring them for to help make our event a success. Truly above and beyond!
The day of the wedding Wheelhouse delivered everything exactly as planned. The food exceeded our high expectations; beautiful mezze board apps, caprese with fresh local tomatoes, braised short ribs, slow roast salmon, vegetarian pasta, broccolini with fried garlic, old bay smashed potatoes, and fresh baked bread. All of the flavors and details were so well balanced and artful from the pepita sauce on the salmon, preserved lemon in the creamy vegetarian pasta, and the fresh baked bread with herbed butter. Many guests complimented us on how delicious the food was, including one of our guests who is a well-known food writer and editor in Boston.
We are so happy that we chose Wheelhouse for our wedding and highly recommend their catering services!
