Food was fantastic and very authentic! Brings back warm memories of my time in Japan many years ago. We are so lucky to have such a dining option so close. I will most definitely be back!! P.S. Try the octopus balls, they're fantastic!!!

Like the other reviews say, be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes even if you're only ordering 1 item. It takes a really really really long time, even when the restaurant is empty (they have like 4 tables) and when nobody else is coming/going to pick up orders, it takes a LONG time. If you place an online order phone order, it will not be ready for 45 - 90 minutes, again, even when the restaurant is extremely empty and quiet

I’m from out of town and wandered in on a snowy night so it wasn’t busy. The food was amazing, the noodles freshly made and the broth was divine.

I found this place because I really like Udon noodles and could not find anywhere nearby to get them. I tried this place and ..... i will never go anywhere else again!!! The Udon was perfection! The Takoyaki was the definition of enjoyment in my mouth. I ate the whole serving (6-Takoyaki) in less time than it took to put on socks. I only ordered 1 serving, but will never make that mistake again, minimum of 2 orders baseline. I am looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu but let's be real... if you want Udon.... THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!

I’ve been here a few times and tried most of the udon dishes. They are all very good. The noodles are firm with a good bite and the broths/stocks are rich but balanced.

There’s definitely some new restaurant growing pains I’ve noticed such as the posted google hours not reflecting their actual hours, but something like that is an easy fix, which isn’t a big deal especially since the food is so delicious.

Small Japanese noodle spot just off of Main St in Andover. Lots of pictures on the wall from older anime series. Atmosphere was very relaxed with a variety of music. Used the QR code at the table to place and pay for my order. Ordered the vegetable tempura and Tori Paiyan Spicy Miso Udon. I heard the waitress say the noodles are made when you place your order. Amazing taste! The broth was spicy to my liking and silky smooth. The noodles were perfect, thick yet soft. The tempura was crunchy batter which through me off but still very good. If you plan on going, do not hesitate to order since each bowl is made fresh as you order it. Worth more trips to try more dishes.

I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. The service was very poor and the food came out extremely slow.

We ordered one appetizer and three udons. It took 20 minutes just for the appetizer to arrive. Then, instead of bringing all three udons together, they served one first and made us wait another 20 minutes before the other two arrived. Each dish came out separately, which made it difficult for our party to enjoy the meal together.

Throughout the wait, the waiter kept telling us “it’s in process,” but nothing was coming out of the kitchen. Overall, the disorganized service and long delays really ruined the dining experience.

Good came out quick and was very tasty. One of the better bowls of udon I’ve had in Massachusetts 😁

I lived in japan for two years in military so call me and expert, but this place has the best udon I've had in the entire country. every dish I've had is amazing, and I literally can't say enough good things here.

Waited for over 30 minutes for two entrees when there’s no other customers in the restaurant. The hot entree was not even hot when it came out. Will not visit again.

This place having only 4.2 stars is shocking. The ordering system is very convenient because you can put something in right when you're ready. The food is delicious and in my experience, didn't take that long to come out. I was with 3 kids so we would've noticed. Overall very good spot.

Aside from the amazing food and atmosphere, the service of this udon restaurant was not even below par, but terrible. It wasn’t very crowded when I went, but the overpriced meal came about one hour after I sat down. Speaking of price, the udon was much too expensive for the quality. I have had much better experiences in other parts of America, China, and Japan where the udon tasted phenomenal and was also reasonably priced.

All in all, if you want good udon, I recommend but be cautioned because your food may take very long to get to you.
