“We're not brewery or beef afficionados (hence only 4 stars), but we had a really nice time at Oak and Iron. The staff are very friendly to newbies like us, and let us sample beer to guide us to the variety we'd like. Their current license only let's Oak and Iron serve their own, on-site brewed beers. But that's no problem, as they offer over a dozen interesting varieties. The crowd inside was surprisingly age-diverse: working age, families with kids, and seniors. Food is available (food truck outside) and allowed in from outside (I think I spotted two kids with Happy Meals). One large, wall-sized TV for airing sports games (MLB ALCS last night) and a pretty fun vibe. I'm looking forward to going back!”

“Pizza and meatballs were excellent. Service was the reason for not giving a five star rating. They were super busy and they were struggling to keep up with their tables. The missing star was for the management not helping out their servers and staff.”

“We found ourselves in Andover, MA this Saturday. I was pulled in by the mention of a meatballs and vodka sauce. My husband ended up getting the meatball sub and I got the SUPER AWESOME grilled cheese which lived up to it’s name. Gruyere, fig, prosciutto, and pears. We found ourselves having such a delightful time in the cozy atmosphere that I ordered a peppermint latte for dessert. The owner chatted with us about where we were from and complimented our antique auction finds, gave us advice on our first home - it felt like we were at a friend’s house. I could not recommend this little cafe more! The food is delicious and unique and HITS THE SPOT. They even offer edible glitter on their “disco fries” - this place is guaranteed to brighten your day and fill your belly.”

“Best breakfast north of Boston EXCEPT — and this is a MAJOR and 100% correctable problem — they recently stopped serving hash browns, for years a signature item on the menu because no one makes them better, on the weekends. Don’t know if this is connected to new ownership or not, but my family dines at Shawsheen far less frequently due to this one misguided management decision.”

“Our first time there last night Feb. 17th Menu is amazing. It's like a small book of deliciousness. The food is top shelf as is the service. Servers are knowledgeable about all foods. Atmosphere is so nice. We will be back very soon!! Thank you for an amazing experience!!”

“I went to Grassfields Food & Spirits for the first time yesterday for lunch. I had my 6 year old daughter and 1 year old son with me. By gods grace my kids have always been easy to take to dinner without stress, however yesterday my son wasn’t particularly feeling the best because he is cutting a new tooth so he was screaming his head off (on and off) and my daughter accidentally leaned too hard on one side of the table which flipped up the opposite end and my entire, full, iced tea fell and spilled all over the floor. I must give a shout out to the staff there for being so kind and handling the situation with empathy and respect. If I could have anticipated that the kids wouldn’t do well at the restaurant I would have opted for lunch to go (which is what I ended up doing anyway after all that). The waitresses did not give me an attitude or dirty looks or get upset, instead they offered to clean up the mess for me and get me a new iced tea. It may seem like a small gesture but it didn’t go unnoticed because not everyone is as kind, understanding and patient. It’s proven in the death stare I did get from another diner lol. I also must mention that when we finally got home and ate the food was fantastic! The kids teriyaki chicken and rice pilaf was the best! My scallops Florentine was delicious too! I will be back for sure… maybe without the kids next time lol.”

“I was recommended to try Pizza Depot by a coworker and have since found that this is one of the few really good pizza places in Massachusetts. I’ve had the pleasure of being able to eat from here for the past few months because it’s near my work site.

Among others, the steak and cheese calzone, jalapeño poppers, and carrot cake have stood out to me. The flavor is phenomenal and the service is excellent! The owner works in the kitchen and personally takes your order and makes it.

I’m very impressed and hope other people out here will be willing to give this place a try!”

“This place is the best! Morgan was terrific as usual. In fact everyone here is, I like to refer them as Mel’s Angels (Mel is the Jefa “boss”). Mel definitely knows what she’s doing at this branch! Portion size was huge and pricing in today’s world is low! I would say I will be back but that’s a given!”

“I've been going to this location for over 4 years, usually on my motorcycle. I'd have a cup of coffee and a muffin. When I went there in August I was surprised to see that they changed ownership. But they still had the fantastic coffee. It was just afternoon and I thought I'd have a turkey club. WOW, it was to die for. I had the homemade potato chips. I've been back 4 times, and of course I had the same thing. I'm a creature of habit. I did try the French fries but next time I think I'll have them crispy.....Keep up the great work!”

“I just tried this place this past Saturday .. it was my birthday and this was my special treat. My husband got a dozen (all different kinds from maple bacon to cannoli.. to apple cider whoopie pie and more! )..And omg.. Best. Donuts. Ever. They are (by far!) the most delicious, lightest, fluffiest melt in your mouth, loaded with flavor, huge and just all around most fantastic donuts I’ve ever had in my life!! In my opinion, no place around here even comes close to their flavor/texture and just overall quality. If you like donuts, no, even if you think you don’t like donuts, run, don’t walk to this place.. I promise one bite and you’ll be converted into a donut lover!!”

“We absolutely love the Andover Bakeshop. The cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious!! You can tell so much thought and care goes into each baked good. All of our cakes have been delicious and so creative!! We refer everyone we know to come here. So lucky to have this gem of a bakery in our downtown. Thank you again!!!”

“They have the best sushi & soups. One of the best sushi places I’ve been in the North Shore Area. It’s pretty private but my family goes every week and they treat customers like gold. The lobster salad is also amazing the food quality is truthfully great. 10/10 recommend!”

“I love it here! The seafood and steaks are incredible and well priced. Big portions. The bands on Thursday nights are duets during dinner hour and are pretty great! Definitely going back.”

“TDLR: Excellent, highly recommend! We held our wedding rehearsal dinner here for about 40 people in the back room. The food was amazing and people came up to us after the event to tell us how tasty it was. The service was great with an organized approch to getting everyone food and promptly clearing plates. The space was the right size for our group, everyone was able to hear speeches since we had the separate room away from the rest of the restaurant, and the vibe was perfect. There were vegan and nut-free options for people with dietary restrictions (but we wish these were clearly labeled as such on the buffet). Only other thing was we were told the tables would be arranged one way so we planned a seating chart but when we got there the size and arrangement of tables was different so we had to scramble a bit to arrange placecards). Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely hold an event there again.

Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarians and vegans in attendance at our rehearsal dinner, and there were some good options for them - very tasty salad, pasta, and veggies

Dietary restrictions: Several members of our party had dietary restrictions that the restaurant was able to accomodate easily.”

“We’ve visited a few times, and the ramen, dumplings, and pork buns have always been quite good. This time, we decided to try takeout, which can be tricky with ramen, but we were pleasantly surprised by how well it was packaged. The broth was in a separate container beneath the toppings, which worked perfectly. We also ordered pork buns and dumplings. The pork buns were delicious, but unfortunately, all THREE orders of dumplings were burnt. Given their small size, this left them with a sour taste, which was really disappointing for all of us.”

“The food is absolutely insane and the service was even better. But i do have to give you a head up on the pineapple on tacos. You know, the bartender is one of the nicest man i have ever met in my life. He gives great service and is an excellent waiter. Also has amazing small talk. His jokes sent me right over the edge and i had a great night due to them. Ever since this night i have had an improved life with a wife and a couple of kids. I really do appreciate this place and has put me in a great place in life. I didn’t expect much out of this small joint but this place just exceeded my expectations. Darlene and Alex took really good care of everyone despite them being on the tipsy side. Good people here, and while I can't speak on the food since we didn't have any, highly recommend coming for the bar, they'll treat you well”

“Super cute place for bagels / breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffee! I enjoyed a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich on an onion bagel made hot fresh to order with a double espresso. Both were made expeditiously despite the busy weekend mid-morning.

I advise arriving earlier for more bagel options (as they do sell out) and bring cash, as they do not take cards!”

“We had a great fathers day dinner here. Teppanyaki was excellent, including the chef‘s show which impressed the kids a lot. Food quality was very good, everything at a reasonable price. Atmosphere and food reminded of the good Teppanyaki places in Shanghai: lively and easy going.
