This means the beef itself has to be well seasoned without relying on the sauce and Bella's does not disappoint!My husband and I drove from another part of the state to eat here because it's so highly rated on the North Shore Beefs page. The smell of their food smelled so delicious while I did my best to select an item from the menu. The food has that fresh, homemade from scratch smell, which we don't get in these chain restaurants. I got the mixed kabob (steak, chicken and lamb) meal which was sooo delicious. This is the best tasting steak, chicken and lamb I've had at a restaurant in a long time. “Wow is my first impression. We just moved to this area from Las Vegas and chose this as our first meal to try and we were not disappointed. First, that bread!!! With the toasted sesame on top w a little butter had me begging for more. Being our first time here we chose the Italian platter that was insane huge and only $22.99!!!! Full side chicken parm, eggplant parm, one meat ball, one sausage and lasagna. The sauce is top notch for sure as was each bite of each item. My husband prefers a meat lasagna but combined with the meatball he was for sure satisfied. If I had to pick one that item I could do without and that would be the eggplant parm but that's a personal preference. In the end 10/10. Will eat again. Maybe it's a Merrimack Valley thing. The best, locally, is Osteria in Ipswich.“

I had a chicken parm sub, a chicken parm calzone, and a pepperoni pizza.The chicken parm sub, the chicken was a little too juicy, strange problem I know, but the cutlets were too thick, so they held a lot of moisture and made the bread soggy. Their marinara is pretty thin too, not my favorite, but that's definitely a preference kind of thing. But somehow it just didn't have a lot of flavor. It wasn't awful, it just wasn't great. I mostly blame the sauce, it just didn't have a lot going on with it.The calzone..... well it was inedible by the time I got home. 100% a me thing, but I've got a lot of sensory issues when it comes to food. I hate super greasy stuff on my fingers, and there are certain goopy textures that will induce a gag reflex on me. They do the classic italian style calzones as opposed to your typical pizza place style. It looked great. But they put some garlic butter or oil or something on top of it. So I already don't want to touch the thing, but I used a fork to try and eat it anyways. The top of it has such a thin layer of dough (which is usually a great sign with calzones), which you normally expect to be slightly crispy and chewy. But the butter or oil or whatever it is just turned that thin dough into a nasty soft mushy goop that I just couldn't eat.I really, really wish that they would ask if customers want that, because it isn't really something I expect on a calzone and it looked so great.“
