“I went to Grassfields Food & Spirits for the first time yesterday for lunch. I had my 6 year old daughter and 1 year old son with me. By gods grace my kids have always been easy to take to dinner without stress, however yesterday my son wasn’t particularly feeling the best because he is cutting a new tooth so he was screaming his head off (on and off) and my daughter accidentally leaned too hard on one side of the table which flipped up the opposite end and my entire, full, iced tea fell and spilled all over the floor. I must give a shout out to the staff there for being so kind and handling the situation with empathy and respect. If I could have anticipated that the kids wouldn’t do well at the restaurant I would have opted for lunch to go (which is what I ended up doing anyway after all that). The waitresses did not give me an attitude or dirty looks or get upset, instead they offered to clean up the mess for me and get me a new iced tea. It may seem like a small gesture but it didn’t go unnoticed because not everyone is as kind, understanding and patient. It’s proven in the death stare I did get from another diner lol. I also must mention that when we finally got home and ate the food was fantastic! The kids teriyaki chicken and rice pilaf was the best! My scallops Florentine was delicious too! I will be back for sure… maybe without the kids next time lol.“

“In a city full to the gills with (great) Dominican spots, this spot is a highlight adding Salvadorean menu options to the local food seen. The food is great, freshly made. Big fan of the pupusas here, especially the loroco with cheese. Service is great and appreciative of non Salvadorean visitors venturing to try a cuisine less known than Mexican, for example. Street metered parking is limited in front of restaurant. Better bet is to park around the park and walk a few minutes.“

“We had our “annual” lobsterfest in memory of a buddy of mine and the place we used last time closed. I had forgotten about the Lobster Tail, but I have to say. We will use them every year. Their Clam Bake to go was AMAZING! The food was delicious, the lobsters were pre-cracked, everything was just good. Dan and the rest of the staff were amazing, friendly, helpful. I will definitely be talking this place up and we will be ordering meals from here regularly for sure.“

As you can see Mikey himself packed them up beautifully and the handled the plane ride perfectly! My next post will let you know how they taste. Sylvia got a junior beef when she was there and said it was fantastic! So tender and flavorful.“

“I can always recommend a Legal's for any meal. Though I still miss the offering of a Sunday brunch at the Washington Street location. This is one of the few places that open at 11am, on Sunday, near The Boston Opera House and accepts reservations.“

“Mid February I hosted a baby shower for my Daughter and soon to be Granddaughter. Dave and the girls went above and beyond. The staff at the Longmeadow Golf Club are super nice and friendly. “This place is the best all around sandwich/pizza shop anywhere. Great salads, sandwiches, dinners. I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The shop is clean and tidy, the employees are friendly and thorough. They repeat your order at least twice and get it right 100% of the time. Pizza is delicious, fried shrimp dinner is plentiful and yummy. We had their Buffalo wings at a party and they’re as good as any I’ve had at a restaurant. I recently got a ham club, I think there was a half pound of ham in it, crazy good, had to split it between 2 meals. Oh…the best skinny fries, they rival McDonalds (better eat them in the car on the way home) They have half a dozen tables if you want to eat there. My whole family gets food here all the time! They cater our family parties too.“
