“We recently had a company outing at Eddie V’s, and the food was excellent, the service was great, and everyone had a fantastic time.

But can we talk about the lighting?

Whoever did the electrical work in this place absolutely understood the assignment. The mood lighting is so good I spent part of dinner admiring the fixtures instead of my steak, which is saying something.

Warm, dramatic, flattering—apparently Eddie V’s has figured out that good lighting is cheaper than Botox.

Five stars for the restaurant and the excellent steak.

“Came earlier for the reservation and went to the bar to wait for my fiancé. The bartender had the worst scowl on his face and took 7 mins to just say hi. Another 5 to get my order and make it. It was a Tom Collin's. 30 second drink; took 15 minutes. And he didn't make my drink correctly I had to coach him and even my fiancé noticed it and she was like let's go to the table. Then they sat us next to family with screaming kids. And it was my birthday so I kind of wanted a nice steak house and I got a McDonald's feel. The server was kind and knowledgeable of the menu and the pricing was fair. Steak cooked well and the crab soup was delicious. Didn't get the oysters location but they could be better. But yeah good spot, but damn a hello goes along way especially when I came out for a celebration and don't get out much like this spending this kind of money. Manager barely said hi and seemed like she did it as a courtesy to check the table instead of actually caring. I didn't touch a couple food items and would be nice to see a manager notice. I told the server but apparently word doesn't get to where it needs too for change to happen. Probably won't come back, definitely not to that bar.“

Bustling pick up business with a lot of regulars, and relaxed indoor service for business and family dinners. They recently added an amazing sushi area. The sushi chef is fabulous! Utterly delicious with a top notch presentation. On par with any sushi I had living in Japan.“

“I got the crawfish boil bag and let me tell you, that sauce in the bottom of the bag was some of the best seafood boil I have ever had. Reminds me of the sauce a staff at my old school used to make. 10/10 no notes. The atmosphere was perfect, nice old pub vibes. And the service was top notch. Would definitely come again.“

The muscle on the scallops are not removed which are very tough to eat. Also I feel they are gritty. “Took my wife for her birthday, along with our daughter. Having been to Peru before and really enjoyed the flavors, we were excited to try this out. And the food certainly didn't disappoint. All of the dishes were very flavorful, including both the mango shrimp ceviche AND the vegetarian ceviche (which was something we didn't get in Peru!). The Causa reminded us of our time in Peru, and both the Peruvian Chinese eggplant and the cilantro lamb stew were very good. The former was a bit milder than we expected, but still delicious, while the latter was superbly seasoned with lamb that melts in your mouth. On the drinks side, we had a passionfruit sour, and the Chica sour and both were delicious. The dessert was their fruit mousse which was also excellent. We were seated outside as it was a nice summer's day, so I can't vouch for the interior. The service was good, though it did seem that one of the waiters wasn't particularly thrilled (either about serving us, or in general). The one who took our orders though, was polite and detailed and pointed out the vegetarian options for my wife and daughter. Keep in mind that this is NOT an inexpensive place. The items range from $17 for an appetizer to the high 30's for the main courses. But for someone craving for something different or just very flavorful food in general, this would be a great choice. I can see why this shows up on many of the lists for best new spots in the city. Highly recommended!“

“This is a unique Asian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge - very cozy with exceptional service, many vegetarian options and beautiful decor and ambiance. We ordered several vegetarian options including the fried rice, tofu, edamame, oyster mushrooms all were brought piping hot to the table and devoured in the next few minutes! The entire meal was simple yet extremely enjoyable. The dessert selected was a strawberry tapioca pudding in coconut milk - just sweet enough and extremely flavorful.“

“Pretty good roast beef. Colder beef than the usual NS beef but also cooked a little more which I like. (The typical NS completely raw beef grosses me out). You got to love the owner though. He's been serving beefs for like 40 years, waaay before they became a foodie fad. So if you say 3 way to him he'll look at you like you're a giant dork. I think its hilarious. But anyhow the food is pretty darn good for fast food. Oh and the prices are fair. He didnt jack up his prices 200% when 40-50% inflation hit over the past couple of years. He jacked up the prices to pretty much exactly what the inflation was.“
