“I understand the biggest complaint I hear about the Village inn. Its atmosphere is almost like a nursing home. True. Outside of that, the Village Inn always comes through. Their food is consistently very good to excellent, especially their seafood and steak. Big portions. Soup and bread are part of your meal. Who doesn't like that? Solid service and decent value. Village inn probably won't ever blow you away, but you'll never leave hungry or disappointed. Good meal guaranteed.“

“We had our “annual” lobsterfest in memory of a buddy of mine and the place we used last time closed. I had forgotten about the Lobster Tail, but I have to say. We will use them every year. Their Clam Bake to go was AMAZING! The food was delicious, the lobsters were pre-cracked, everything was just good. Dan and the rest of the staff were amazing, friendly, helpful. I will definitely be talking this place up and we will be ordering meals from here regularly for sure.“

“Best roast beef you’re going to find if you love a piping hot, perfectly rare cooked north shore style roast beef on a toasted bun. I always liked roast beef’s but Bella’s turned me onto them big time in the last few months and I now regularly every week or two make the 20 minute drive from New Hampshire to Bella’s and get a beef. As a small business owner I have a ton of respect for the owner that I still haven’t personally talked to but he always says hi and waves from the back where he consistently produces amazing food and I always see him doing things like bringing lunch down to the firehouse- small businesses that do things like this for the community should always be recognized. Long story short- give this place a shot and you’ll likely find your new favorite spot for roast beef and other great food!“

“I went to Grassfields Food & Spirits for the first time yesterday for lunch. I had my 6 year old daughter and 1 year old son with me. By gods grace my kids have always been easy to take to dinner without stress, however yesterday my son wasn’t particularly feeling the best because he is cutting a new tooth so he was screaming his head off (on and off) and my daughter accidentally leaned too hard on one side of the table which flipped up the opposite end and my entire, full, iced tea fell and spilled all over the floor. I must give a shout out to the staff there for being so kind and handling the situation with empathy and respect. If I could have anticipated that the kids wouldn’t do well at the restaurant I would have opted for lunch to go (which is what I ended up doing anyway after all that). The waitresses did not give me an attitude or dirty looks or get upset, instead they offered to clean up the mess for me and get me a new iced tea. It may seem like a small gesture but it didn’t go unnoticed because not everyone is as kind, understanding and patient. It’s proven in the death stare I did get from another diner lol. I also must mention that when we finally got home and ate the food was fantastic! The kids teriyaki chicken and rice pilaf was the best! My scallops Florentine was delicious too! I will be back for sure… maybe without the kids next time lol.“

“This was my first time here. I went with friends to have lunch. I had a veggie meal of rice and roasted Brussel sprouts and broccoli. It was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were nor hard, but nice and tender. On it was a dressing that was just right with a very nice flavor. The service was perfect and left nothing to be denied. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was well furnished. Although, the background chatter was very loud. And someone with hearing aids would find it difficult to understand conversation due to constant chatter.“

“First time checking out the Billerica location, we go to the Tewksbury location all the time. This location is located inside of an old
Colonial style building. The bar side looked great but we sat in the dining room. The menu is the same and the quality of food is great. The craft beer selection was decent with a few local breweries represented, including Spy Glass Stateline IPA. Which was tasty. I got the Western Burger which did not disappoint either. Fries are always great, nice and crispy!

Kid-friendliness: The kids menu is great! It’s the main reason we go so often. They make a great grilled cheese with fries for a reasonable price.“

“The best poke I've ever had in my life, and the employees are always kind and friendly. I don't even care that you guys had to raise your prices a little because of inflation, I drive 45 minutes to come eat some of that fantastic poke and it is well worth the price. Vegetarian options: You can choose tofu instead of meat, and you can choose non dairy sauces. Everything else is just rice and vegetables. Can't go wrong there.“

“I stopped by for lunch today at this brand new restaurant in Lowell. I was looking through the menu and I had to try their pupusas. Let me just say they were AMAZING!!! They have beans and cheese, cheese and loroco (vegetable), and I got chicharron and cheese. They are served with rice, beans, salad, salsa, and cortido (cabbage).“

“Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner here. Everything was awesome! Chicken wings, shrimp Alfredo and chicken pot pie was all sooo good. Dinner rolls were to die for. However, the highlight of the evening was our awesome waiter Aaron! So polite, funny and attentive, even recommended a dessert (Mississippi mud pie) which did not disappoint!“

“Just a quick note from someone who never writes reviews. Sitting at The Beach Plum with my three kiddos and so impressed and grateful for the wonderful service we’ve received here. We had a tiny issue with one meal which was immediately acknowledged and fixed tenfold. Two members of the team checked on us several times after to make sure we were doing okay and then sent us home with an extra meal for later on the house. My kids learned a great lesson on wonderful and kind customer service and The Beach Plum will continue to be a favorite spot for us! Thank you!!“
