“This was my first time at the restaurant. A friend recommended this place, and we went together to check it out. It's spotless and ambiance and cozy. The waitress is warm and friendly. And checks upon us to see we are well taken care of. And. Since it was my first time, it was a bit challenging to choose a meal to decide. But it's okay, and they were patient and served the best possible way.“
“I stumbled upon Rizzo's while attending an event a Ross the street at the Lowell Auditorium. This is a very clean pizza/sandwich/salad spot and I'd give it five stars for simply the food. However, they are fast to get food prepared and the staff is polite. We had a chicken rice bowl (outstanding), Greek salad (tons of chicken) and a gold finger sub (my daughter loves it). That was the first day. It was so good we went back on the second day for a super beef sandwich, another chicken bowl and a pizza. We NEVER repeat places. But, this was too good not to. You really should try this spot.“
“Large portions, friendly staff, and good service.Local spot for Portuguese dishes. Can get quite busy, but the servers are attentive and helpful. We typically always get the kale soup, house steak and Portuguese fries (more like plantain looking cut chips). Had the special lobster scallop and shrimp scampi dish tonight over linguine which was very good. Seafood stew is very hearty. Flan was also very good.*sharing menu as it’s not visible anywhere else online*“
“Purchased a lobster roll from here a few weeks ago. My husband said it was the best lobster roll he had ever had. Plenty of lobster, not expensive, and the lobster was sweet and fresh. Nice employees too! Would highly recommend and will definitely go back“
“Great prices and wonderful owners. They take the time to share with you where their selections come from and differences between the taste. Price and quality beats the other markets and large chain grocery stores; yes, even the small box trucks that sell seafood on the street. Highly recommended!“
“The izzyrito looked like the standout order here. You can add flaming hot Cheetos to the wrap and I recommend you do! You get a lot of good quality fish and a great variety of veggies and toppings to boot. The truffle aioli was sweet and very truffle-y. It's a bit pricey but I think for the quality of ingredients and the amount of food you're getting, it's worth it. Great option to have in the downtown area ??“
“Good food. I consider fish'n'chips to be a test if a restaurant's capabilites. It was good fish, tasty, but it should have been in the deep fryer, just a but longer - the breading was still doughy on the underside, not great, but avoidable one you knew it.The server was quickly responsive to one member of our party of 7. But once she'd taken care of that (minor) complaint, she simply turned away from the table, where two other people had other equally minor needs. TIP: ALWAYS look at the rest of the table to check if everything is okay.If we are in Lowell again, which is probable, I would happily return, as the atmosphere, >noise level<, and other attention was more up to expectations.Dietary restrictions: One member of our party has allergies, which were satisfactorily handled.“
“I originally heard about Captain John's from a friend who claimed this was the place to go for some of the best friend fish in the Boston area. So naturally, on my last day in Boston, I came in very excited for this to be everything I heard of and more... And they absolutely delivered! Wonderfully pleasant folks serving beautifully fried fish and incredibly tender scallops. It was so good, I ended up finishing a whole seafood platter by myself. The music and laughter from the bar also really builds on the small town atmosphere that adds another level to the experience. I would recommend this to anyone who has the chance to stop by!“
