Went here for the 1st time for a wedding anniversary. We booked a table in advance. The place is located in a busy section of town. However it was a Sunday night and not many people were out that night. We got seated right away. We had 3 wait staff people come over with water & bread. The bread didn't look that appealing at first. Kinda looked like a wet twinkie. However once I ate it I realized it was delicious. I'm a firm believer in I eat with my eyes first. We then waited for about 15 minutes before our waitress came over and talked to us. She was very friendly and very detailed in the menu. She didnt rush us or force anything on us. I believe she was also the bartender as well and suggested some drinks to us. She was very knowledgeable of the alcohol which is a plus. The place wasnt that busy so we just waited again, playing on our phones. What else were we suppose to do. Finally the drinks came out. I just had a beer and my wife had an old fashion and I will say it was strong. Very strong but worth it. We ordered our food and our appts. My wife got the crab cake and I got the Wagyu spring rolls. I don't eat anything from the sea despite being Portuguese decent sadly but the spring rolls were excellent in taste. The spring rolls fell apart and the steak had a ground beef texture but I ate them all minus one I gave to my wife so they were good, the wife agreed. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls had this sweet and sour look but was oiled driven and it was excellent, so good.

Unfortunately our waitress informed us of they were out of the NY strip and some biquse which I wasn't going to order. I did have my eye on the NY strip but that was a bummer. I went with the alternative NY Strip with the bone in and I wasnt disappointed. I added truffle butter and a side of spicy parmesan fries. I'll be honest, I'm not a wedge fry guy, I prefer if they were shoestring fries. The wedges ate heavy but they were fried crispy and had a good kick at the end. Overall food was great. The cook on the steak was perfect, great experience and very busy establishment. Thanks for the memories.

Was really looking forward to dining here, however that didn’t happen. The restaurant decided to switch platforms from open table to resi about a month ago without any type of clear communication. So when my fiancé booked our reservation on open table, we received a confirmation from both open table and another from resi. We didn’t book through resi so we canceled the reservation not knowing they stopped using open table. Why did it allow us to book through open table if they weren’t using it anymore? And why did our reservation stay active through open table? When we got to the restaurant they informed us our reservation had been canceled and that they could try to find us a table but they couldn’t guarantee it and if they did they wouldn’t know when.

This restaurant decided to switch everyone’s reservations over from OpenTable to Resy without informing anyone about this. I thought I accidentally made two reservations, so being the nice guy I am, I cancelled the Resy reservation as to not take up 2 tables so another nice couple could enjoy a Valentines Day dinner. We get to the restaurant and we are informed “they no longer accept OpenTable reservations as of a month ago” even though I booked the reservation through OpenTable over a month ago. What an absolute dumb thing to do a month before one of the busiest nights out. They didn’t even honor our original reservations. Terrible experience. We spent our money elsewhere.

My family and I dined at La Fina last weekend for the first time. We were celebrating my mother's birthday and her retirement. I noted this in the reservation and the restaurant acknowledged it at the table and upon check-in. Everything exceeded our expectations. The service was top notch, from the front desk to the bar to the dining room. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy despite a windy snowstorm outside! The food was excellent. Everyone ordered a steak and they were all cooked perfectly as ordered. Cocktails and appetizers were excellent.
Our server, Colin, was friendly and attentive. The whole evening was lovely and we can't wait to come back.

We had a great experience dining at La Fina! Our server John was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We loved the Wagyu beef tartare, seared foie gras, gnocchi with black truffles, and the housemade chocolate gateau for dessert. We can’t wait to come back!

Service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately for the second time in two visits, my entree was terrible. This time I ordered the pork Milanese. it was fried to a dark brown, almost black color - very overdone and the pork itself was no more than a couple of millimeters thick, with breading 4X’s as thick. I sent it back to the kitchen and it was returned with the comment “that’s how we make it”. On my last visit my steak came to the table after all of the other members of my party were done, and it was also over-done. My observation from the talent and attentiveness of the staff is that the restaurant is likely well managed, but the chef’s need to learn how to properly prepare fine food.

That was probably the best filet mignon I've ever had, and the croquettes are to die for. Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the wine selection and pairings. The Smoke Show cocktail was nice and actually had smokey flavor when others have the smoke just for show. Great date night spot.

My steak came out cold but they brought a new one. Service was great. A bit pricey for what it is.

Wonderful dinner and evening. La Fina can hold its own with the finest of Boston's restaurants.
