Such a gem 💎 in Andover.
A karaoke 🎤 lover's dream.
An Asian fusion cuisine 🍜 lover's dream.
-Kitchen closes at different times depending on the day:
Sunday 9PM
Mon-Wed 11 PM
Thu-Sat 12 AM (midnight)
The owner combined the two former locations into one glorious restaurant and bar. All staff are consistently friendly and efficient. Scott the manager and the bartenders are always crushing it. The food is always so delicious and so are the cocktails.
There's an outdoor seating area which is open (weather permitting) from early April until the end of October.
This place has multiple phases of service depending on the time of day;
-Lunchtime, mostly takeout from people and businesses; not many people eating in
-Dinner gets fairly busy especially on weekends. Service and food are both very fast- somehow I've never waited long here for takeout or dine-in.
-Karaoke most/every nights until midnight - Fridays and Saturdays are super lit. Usually a great non-aggressive crowd, having a great time. Lots of singing, dancing and good vibes.
This is one of my favorite restaurants ever and I couldn't recommend it more!

Went on a Friday night, turned out to be karaoke night but that wasn’t a problem as we just wanted to eat. Service was great, servers were on top of everything, food was absolutely delicious, karaoke was funny and entertaining. Will definitely go back.
Sorry about the pictures and video. We tried to record half way through eating almost everything lol it was that good!

it’s the goat karaoke spot. Mike is the don. Scott is the man. The staff is great. Shout out the bartenders!
if you dislike this place you’re likely the problem.

By far, the best Chinese Japanese food in the area. Everything is cooked fresh and is delicious. The bartenders are subime and create drinks for each season. It's definitely worthy of more than five 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟!!
I highly recommend ShoYu 👌

The quality seems to vary a lot depending on the food item. The hot and sour soup was pretty terrible, but the sesame tofu was delicious. It was probably the best tofu I’ve ever had. The sushi was good and my husband seemed to enjoy his shrimp noodles. I liked that they had mocktails on the menu.

I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars. I went here with my girlfriend for some good food and conversation recently. Google rating looked decent, so we gave it a shot. To summarize: The decor and vibe the place gives off is pretty nice. But it completely clashes with the quality of service and food. The waiter we had left us waiting for a significant amount of time whenever we asked for something. When our food came (Ramen and Pad Thai) it was accompanied by an ABUNDANCE OF FRUIT FLIES. Some in the broth of the ramen I ordered. We grabbed the check and left shortly after.

The restaurant had a sports bar atmosphere, but the service was completely at odds with that vibe. The server didn’t mean to be unkind; it’s just the way many Chinese individuals interact with guests. However, the tone was harsh and unfriendly, which put me off from the start. As for the food I ordered, I wish I could rate it zero stars. The ramen was far from edible; it was excessively salty, and the fish cakes were incredibly dry, as if they had been left out for days.

I ordered the Thai basil fried rice. I was really disappointed. It tasted bland i would a say a normal fried rice.

Decent tasting Asian food served quickly and generously. Service was great and friendly on this slow day we visited. It is a nice looking modern decor inside but the amount of screens and constantly changing screens were not appealing to us

Sho Yu of Andover is cater more to the American tastes, unlike its other 2 Sho Yu. There are. This is a Chinese Japanese and Thai restaurant. It is a very good sport bar with TV monitor on three side of the restaurant. It has $1 oysters time. I ordered the chicken wing, boneless rib, teriyaki beef with garlic noodles. They were very good. I also ordered the Thai drunken noodles. That was only OK. It did not have enough wok breath. Sho Yu also has Karaoke and live band on the weekend after 9:00 pm
