I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes. the sandwich was ok, the meat reminded me more of something that was boiled instead of smoked. The mashed potatoes on the other hand were probably some of the best I have ever had.

$18+ for a pulled pork sandwich, small side of mashed potatoes and a fountain drink is absolutely nuts in my book. They did have half a dozen employees standing around so I guess this is why they have to charge the prices they do.

If you could bottle the smell of Blue Ribbon BBQ, I’d wear it as cologne. The moment you walk in, it’s pure smoky happiness. The staff are friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and the food… well, let’s just say I’ve had actual dreams about their pulled pork sandwich. The sides are just as good — mac and cheese that means business, cornbread that doesn’t crumble under pressure, and collard greens that taste like someone’s grandma made them.

The portions are generous, prices are fair, and somehow everything tastes like it just came off the pit at a family cookout. Only downside? You’ll spend the next hour wondering if it’s socially acceptable to go back for seconds. Spoiler: it is.

Its either this or Redbones. Can't go wrong either way. I think blue ribbon edges out Redbones. Can't go wrong with anything you get here. So damn good. My go to is the brisket or burnt ends. Place is one of the best

I have been a customer since it opened in West Newton.A 4.4 rating is ridiculous and unfair.I have eaten bbq all over “bbq country USA”.Only one chain is as good,Heisman trophy winner Billy Sims’chain. This includes most of the famous one off places as well!!
It gets my FIVE ⭐️!!!

I’ll give it to them, they know how to load up a plate but flavor was extremely lacking. Extremely flavorless and bland. I couldn’t finish my food.

The food is good, sometimes the corn bread a little hard for my liking. Not sure if it’s leftovers but sometimes it’s not supper fresh. Also make sure you check your bag before leaving, they forgot things with the order. Especially when you really wanted that one thing just ruined my whole night.

No, don't waste your money! I've lived in NC, VA, and FL where you can get authentic BBQ...this AIN'T it! Burnt ends were overly vinegar based, dry dry dry and shredded. Baked beans were shamefully dry with no traditional sweetness. Buffalo Mac n cheese was disgustingly glued. Corn bread passable. Appalling all around. Water...spot on!

Disappointed in the overly vinigared burnt ends. The buffalo Mac and cheese also not good. A lot of food but not good BBQ.

We engaged Blue Ribbon for catering at a graduation party, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. The food arrived promptly, hot and prepared for service. The meal was exceptional, ample for all attendees, fresh, and accompanied by all necessary utensils and paper goods, including dressings and sauces. I would certainly consider utilizing their services again. Exceptional quality in both food and service.

We got the half rack, rice and corn bread. I felt like I was down south... Amazing food. Sometimes I pick up the feed bag for the whole family dinner... Cheers

I ordered food here for pickup, half barbecue chicken, whole jerk chicken, 3rd rack of ribs, and 2 sides of the collard greens --
While the ribs were well done, the chicken was severely undercooked, omg nasty.
The collard greens tasted sandy, like they weren't pre-washed.

Shame on you guys for even associating yourself with BBQ.

Do not go here and waste your money!
Food poor and management indifferent to feedback.
I am so disappointed in the quality of the food! I reached out to them- the company GM and the restaurant managers where I purchased the food- they were made aware. I got zero response from them- nothing- not even an apology or a coupon to give them another chance.
I bought burnt ends, brisket, and pulled pork for my employees- spent $502- that’s a lot of money. Burnt ends were just OK- thought it would be chucks not shredded. The Brisket was VERY disappointing- dry and tough and hardly any flavor. The pulled pork was fair- on the dry side and a bit bland.
We have gone to Blue Ribbon BBQ many times over the years, and it has been great- not this time.
I am a bit of a BBQ connoisseur… brisket should be juicy and tender- melt in your mouth and have a nice smokey flavor. Pulled pork should be juicy and full of flavor. Burnt ends should have great flavor and not be shredded or chopped but served as tender pieces.
Want great BBQ- check out Rusty Can in Byfield- NEVER disappointing!
