Not the friendliest start. Coffee was not that hot. Flies everywhere even on all pastries and not clean at all.

My recent visit , today around 3:55 pm, was very disappointing due to poor service. The barista did not make any effort to communicate, failing to ask for my drink details, such as the milk type or whether I was dining in or taking away. My drink was incorrectly prepared in a paper cup. When I asked to have it served in a proper mug, the barista simply dumped the coffee from one cup to the other, destroying the foam. This showed a complete lack of professionalism and care for the product. 2 stars only for the other older kind lady at the counter who fixed it for me.

The vibes are cute although maybe a little over decorated for some. The food is pretty average.

I came in on a Friday around 5:45pm. Employees weren’t super attentive. The one who made my drink & checked me out seemed disinterested in working. She left the register before I could ask for a receipt.. I had to ask the other employee. I asked the employee, who gave me the receipt, if they had any straws and she looked at me like I was horrible person for asking. She proceeded to point behind me, didn’t even say anything, I turned and didn’t see anything. It was blocked by the wall. No big deal, but I had to find that out myself. The counter with the straws was dirty and trash all around. The atmosphere inside is alright. It’s hot and feels like there is no a/c. My oat milk latte tastes fishy and syrup-y. Unfortunately, this is my first and only time coming to Caffe Nero, at least this location.

Walked in to grab my pickup order. I specifically ordered no whip cream on my Frappe Crème, but it came with it. I told the older gentleman with gray hair working the counter, and he said “where does it say no whipped cream?” I gave him the online order receipt which explicitly says “no cream” (referring to whipped cream) and he scoffed at me. He then grabbed my drink and just poured out the top so the whipped cream would be gone. He closed my cup and gave it back with liquids from the drink on the side of the cup where I’m supposed to hold it, had to go wipe it off myself. He seemed really annoyed with an awful attitude. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I see that someone else had an issue with an older guy named Jake who I think may be the same person.

A limited selection of food but excellent coffee, so long as you like Italian style coffee IE strong ! There's a nice selection of pastries with some fairly original things such as a sort of muffin croissant mix and a kouogn amman (positively from French Bretagne - proof that there need be that the Gaules colonized Italy far before Roman times ;-)))
A very nice casual atmosphere with plenty of seating, and the stuff lets you take your time so many people spend hours working on their laptops or reading a book from the on-site bookshelves.

Hi. I am a customer of Cafe Nero for some time, however today was the first time experiencing Cafe Nero from the perspective of a Uber Eats delivery. I came into the store on Mass Ave in Arlington, MA. I grabbed a bag and as requested by Uber eats, I asked the front to verify order. Specifically, Uber eats mentioned “this order contains a drink.” When I asked the front cashier, he admonished me in the cafe telling me “why else would it be sitting there.” He ended up calling me a jerk and continued to explain how he doesn’t need to verify an order. This happened around 8:45 am and when I asked his name, he said Jake. He is a man with long grayish hair and was wearing a black apron with no name tag. This was an eye-opening experience and I don’t think I’ll ever want to go back as a customer again. I’d much rather kind folks where I frequent. Please don’t let employees talk to people like that.

Also, I’m doing Uber eats to make small payments into my student loans and these interactions make me disappointed that I ever spent money at Cafe Nero. Possibly related to the way I look as an androgynous individual relating to bias in the employee.

Update: I called to file a formal complaint with the supervisor and the same employee answered and wouldn’t let me talk to a supervisor claiming for two minutes there are no supervisors here and when I asked when they arrive, he said they actually have managers and then I asked to speak to a manager. She told me I had to call the corporate office and said she doesn’t know the number. When I asked if managers have access and should know it, she hung up. Then she proceeded to tell the employee how she “hung up on me. It was the Uber eats driver. I just told him I didn’t know the number and then I hung up on him. [laughter]. Then she realizes she didn’t hang up…..

Very unprofessional and very terrible follow-up on a way to help a customer/interaction better.

The interior is lovely. Large space, cosy vibe and comfortable. The coffee is good, not always hot, but good and the sandwiches are very good. The manager on the other hand is rude. There’s no other way to say it. And it’s not a one off either. It’s consistent. Quite frankly, I’d rather order from the app than have to deal with her manner, stare, glare and general unfriendly demeanor. The other baristas are nice, however.

The atmosphere is very comfortable with a rustic touch. The menu is a little hard to read, but not impossible if you have decent vision. The food and pastry selection is superb and tastes delicious and home made! The coffee is among the best I've ever tasted behind Guatemalan coffee, which they will have in a few days! This place is great. Bravo!

I've been here for coffee with friends several times and there has been absolutely nothing vegan in their food case any of those times. Did I just happen to be there at the wrong time?
