What a discovery! I had a cortado and a butter croissant. Felt like Paris. And I’m French, so I know ?
Been craving a great baguettes and learned about Mamadou's through Winchester's FB page since I'm new to the town. So worth it! Right balance of crisp, airy, and dough. You have to come early as they sell out fast. The almond croissant and loaf breads ??.I do wish they offered some sort of delivery or pick up option as you really never know what's available as their goods sell out fast. Testament to how amazing it is
Tried the pecan raisin bread - nice texture but it's a bit dense (I've tried similar breads before that were "fluffier" in crumb). The bakery has a slicer, too, which I took advantage of. Their coffee machine is LaMarzocco which produces a very smooth product. The cappuccino wasn't the best I've ever had (the beans are bit too acidic) but did the trick on a chilly morning. The service was great - very friendly, helpful and courteous.
The most difficult part is to figure out whether it's open.
In need of gift worthy cookies? Cookie Time Bakery is the place to go. There's too many flavors to pick from, you'll buy a dozen, trust me. And you won't regret it! They're so good!
Just wanted to share Thanksgiving hours. ? Mamadou's bread is beyond gourmet!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Superb croissant and brioche will be back to try the rest of the pastries and breads!
Great bread. Just as good as good bakeries in Paris. Totally worth it if you can we afford it and figure out when they're open. At $8 a loaf, it's a bit of a head scratcher... And they're open three days a week, 9-3...
Cash only. Amazing bread, fantastic taste and texture!!
Discovered this place on map yesterday...had to go this morning! ?The chocolate croissant was excellent (possibly my wife's favorite in Boston, a close call for me).To echo someone else's feedback, the amount of chocolate in the croissant is more than appropriate. That's indeed the expected amount in France - where I'm from - actually in France very rarely there is a single stick of chocolate, usually bringing deception haha. The almond croissant is made from a day-old croissant I believe, which is the "proper" way. :)And the paysan bread is really good.I imagine so is the rest...

Excellent chocolate chip cookie
Got a decent mocha, good roobios tea, very good brioche/croissant/chocolate croissant. $20 inc tip. CASH ONLY during covid. 4/5 will walk there again.
This might be somewhat controversial, but I think Mamadou's has an equally as good Croissant than Butternut Bakehouse as of a few weeks ago when I went here for the first time. I had a regular and an almond croissant with my wife and I was blown away. The coffee is also very good.
Reply to Min Kim: That is how real chocolate croissants are (2 bars of dark chocolate) everywhere.. including Paris. You should try their almond and/or almond chocolate croissant. It's a whole other level.
We went for the first time today and were not disappointed! We had the brioche roll, baguette and a croissant and they were all PERFECT. Soft, buttery and delicious. The owner was so kind and friendly too! My fiancé and I will be going every Sunday as a new tradition now!
