We met friends here for lunch on a Saturday. It was quiet and quite peaceful actually. The food was above average and the service was wonderful. The ambience is fun and very Colonial. Highly recommend the pulled pork and the cod cakes.
Love Menotomy so much! Always a great spot that delivers all around with food, service & ambience!
We were visiting the area to attend graduation and had brought our small dog. The restaurant accommodated our dog by allowing us to sit outside. It started to rain but the server quickly rolled down the awning and no one got wet. I'm addition to their excellent hospitality, the food was delicious. Our group tried the burger with egg, chicken and waffles, pork bahn mi and crab cakes. Fantastic experience to top off a wonderful graduation weekend!
As always, a wonderful dining experience. Could be the best fish & chips I ever had. Super fresh, enormous portion. Loved it!
Always reliable- Good food, cold drinks, friendly and attentive service in a fun/casual room.
We were stuck in a traffic jam and half our party came very late to the reservation and the hostesses couldn't have been kinder or more understanding. Our server, Sophia - was just brilliant - efficient but relaxed - friendly and super helpful with options we were struggling with - so many choices it was hard to decide! The service provided by others bringing dishes to the table were also lovely. Just great all around. And we all loved the menu - such a great place for a family get together. My cocktail was wonderful too. Thank you to all - great time had by all!
We love good food, with creative, delicious touches, but we also love a casual pub atmosphere. Menotomy Grill & Tavern is big and rustic, with interesting decor. And on Thursday nights there is live music!
The delicious, high-end tavern food and welcoming ambience make Menotomy Grill and Tavern one of my favorite places to eat. The daily specials for the scratch kitchen are my favorites. And on Thursday evenings you will find the best of Boston's blues and roots music scene here. You cannot find any better dance friendly music venue in the Boston area than the Menotomy Grill on Thursday evenings.
Overall my experience was fine. I only complaint is that when I asked for a straw it was delivered to me without a paper wrapper in the hands of a server of whom I saw using a cell phone prior to that. I also saw other servers touching their face. I am not a germ Afobe but I do believe that good hand washing review might be necessary.
The food and cocktail were delicious and the service was quick and friendly. The place is very run down with ripped up booth seats that scratched the back of my legs and even the toilet seats were ripped up. Needs updating!

Another great experience at Menotomy Grill, and this time I introduced a friend to it and he loved it also. The entree portions are very decent, and the Shrimp & Grits, which is a new item on the menu, was outstanding. The service was friendly and not rushed, and parking was easy.
Hands down most wonderful service my family has had in years and absolutely amazing food. Patio is situated such that no one has the sun in their eyes in the evening. Just perfect. Oh! And the most adorable little water bowl for my dog. Thank you so much. What a great evening!
I had a great dinner with my 90 year old mother and other members of my family. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was terrific. I had the salmon cooked medium and it was perfect. It was great that there were vegan and gluten free options for some in our party. Highly recommend.
We always have an excellent dining experience at Menotomy! The food is always very good, I especially like their fish and chips and chicken pot pie and their desserts are outstanding as well. I have a preference for the carrot cake and apple crumb. The servers are always friendly and attentive as well. And they always accomodate our wheelchair request.
Decent food, drinks were not unreasonable, nor prices overall. Korean sticky ribs are definitely a hit. Steak tips were OK but the chimichurri definitely made them. Noise was a bit on the high side so it was hard to have conversations if someone spoke very softly. Service was fair at best. Clearly understaffed and felt as though the waits for service and check ins were inordinately long. Wasn't so busy that the staff should have been stretched.
