We love good food, with creative, delicious touches, but we also love a casual pub atmosphere. Menotomy Grill & Tavern is big and rustic, with interesting decor. And on Thursday nights there is live music!
The delicious, high-end tavern food and welcoming ambience make Menotomy Grill and Tavern one of my favorite places to eat. The daily specials for the scratch kitchen are my favorites. And on Thursday evenings you will find the best of Boston's blues and roots music scene here. You cannot find any better dance friendly music venue in the Boston area than the Menotomy Grill on Thursday evenings.
Overall my experience was fine. I only complaint is that when I asked for a straw it was delivered to me without a paper wrapper in the hands of a server of whom I saw using a cell phone prior to that. I also saw other servers touching their face. I am not a germ Afobe but I do believe that good hand washing review might be necessary.
The food and cocktail were delicious and the service was quick and friendly. The place is very run down with ripped up booth seats that scratched the back of my legs and even the toilet seats were ripped up. Needs updating!
Another great experience at Menotomy Grill, and this time I introduced a friend to it and he loved it also. The entree portions are very decent, and the Shrimp & Grits, which is a new item on the menu, was outstanding. The service was friendly and not rushed, and parking was easy.
Hands down most wonderful service my family has had in years and absolutely amazing food. Patio is situated such that no one has the sun in their eyes in the evening. Just perfect. Oh! And the most adorable little water bowl for my dog. Thank you so much. What a great evening!
I had a great dinner with my 90 year old mother and other members of my family. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was terrific. I had the salmon cooked medium and it was perfect. It was great that there were vegan and gluten free options for some in our party. Highly recommend.
We always have an excellent dining experience at Menotomy! The food is always very good, I especially like their fish and chips and chicken pot pie and their desserts are outstanding as well. I have a preference for the carrot cake and apple crumb. The servers are always friendly and attentive as well. And they always accomodate our wheelchair request.
Decent food, drinks were not unreasonable, nor prices overall. Korean sticky ribs are definitely a hit. Steak tips were OK but the chimichurri definitely made them. Noise was a bit on the high side so it was hard to have conversations if someone spoke very softly. Service was fair at best. Clearly understaffed and felt as though the waits for service and check ins were inordinately long. Wasn't so busy that the staff should have been stretched.
This was our first time going to the restaurant. The greater was very friendly. The waitress was phenomenal, very attentive. The food, as my wife said, its ok, nothing to get excited about. We stopped in for a quick bite, before heading to a show. We ordered sandwiches and drinks. The drinks were good. After waiting for a period of time, our meals came, we ordered the Chicken BLT and the Pulled Pork sandwich with fries. Our sandwich's and fries were cold. When the waitress checked on us we told her, very apologetic and returned with very hot new food. My wife said the pulled pork was excellent, with a little bite, the coleslaw was very bland with no flavor. The chicken BLT, the chicken was very small as previously reviewed customers had mentioned, the sandwich was average size. I think the sandwich would have more flavor, if the chicken was hot. I hate writing a review like this, but after driving over an hour to get to the restaurant, it did not have us leaving and saying, that was really good.

Food was wonderful. Highly recommend this place. Waiter was busy but very attentive. Had 13 people on graduation Sunday. They had a packed house and made it seem like we were the only people there. Highly recommend!!
I celebrated my graduation today in this fine place. happy to tell that we passed a outstanding evening and the venue was absolutely one of the reasons for the fruitful meeting. The crew participated in a lovely manner, the meals were delicious and my friends were so cheerful. We shall surely return for more events. thanks very much.
This is a well managed Whole Foods, The manager is very responsive and most of the staff seem to like working at this location. We visit one or two times per week and the store is always immaculate and sufficiently staffed. A big plus is that this WF is an Amazon Locker pickup location. Other reviews state plenty of parking but that is not our experience. The staff park on the side street, making it very narrow near the store. Access is best if you turn off Mass Ave rather than coming through the neighborhood. There's a couple of spots for electric cars, and they've tried to address the traffic flow problem but if a vehicle is waiting for one to leave near the entrance, they block the entire entrance and then the exiting cars are impacted. Were surprised the neighborhood hasn't complained more about the vehicle impact. This location should be 5 stars even with the inflated prices except for the parking. We will periodically review this location.
I had the misfortune of having to get some last minute shopping done on Christmas Eve. This was not the issue as the items were found easily. My issue is the absolute disgusting behaviour I experienced from the cashier Max. He was loud, friendly and talkative with the lady ahead of me but when I stepped up, he went dead quiet. He couldn't even bring himself to look at my face. He never uttered a word...no greet, no convo nothing which leads me to one conclusion. Max obviously had an issue which he made very clear by his actions. As soon as we were rung up, I proceeded to pick up my bags and lo and behold, I hear Max all cheery, loud and talkative with the couple behind me. I spun around so fast to have a look as I was utterly shocked to hear him speak again!! A Christmas Miracle I would say!!! Btw the lady ahead of me and the couple behind were caucasians and I'm not!!!! The reason I did not confront him or make a scene is because I chose not to address ignorance and i was not about to ruin my Christmas over a spoilt brat like him.
This is a decent Whole Foods Market with ample parking in the back. They had a nice assortment of seasonal mums out front but that was about it in flowers. The store is clean and laid out same as all WFMs. They had a nice but small prepared food area and tables and chairs outside where one could sit and eat.
