Yeah, that's not a good bar. I don't know if things have gone downhill recently, but a 4.1 is far too high. Very slow service. The Heights Pub felt like a bar that Jon Taffer needs to rescue - yikes! Avoid it, I wish I would have!

Monday night burger special is great. Atmosphere is pretty loud on Mondays but food is worth it!

BLUF: This place rocks. It's in the name - a pub in the Heights that provides cozy bar atmosphere and grub.
This place makes a good chicken wing for Boston, though their burgers are the flagship menu item, with Monday burger deals. They also have sneaky good veggie sides and some soups that slap. I typically stop in once or twice a month while walking around the neighborhood with my wife for a quick bite and some beers. Plenty of TVs for sports as well.
The Heights Pub is literally exactly what it claims to be.

Used to like Heights Pub , often only one server working, and ignores me when I want to order something else.
Wish menu changed. Haven’t gone since 8/7/24, because when came back from restroom hostness cleansed my table, I wasn’t done. Isn’t chicken noodle soup like used to be , isn’t desserts without dairy.

AWFUL service. Will never return. Complete disregard for dietary request with no care or concern to do anything about it. So unbelievably rude I’m still in shock.

Pricey beer! Been here several times since they opened always been a normal experience. Good service as usual but this last time of $14 beers was unexpected. If you're going to charge that much for a beer the least you could do is put the price on the menu.

The food is good, honest, sturdy fare. Bourbon burgers and crisp tater-tots are a treat. I've been to this place several times with friends and family and even had takeout. I would love to be able to frequent the Heights Pub often as it's right in my neighborhood. But I won't be doing so anymore after my last experience. I wish the owners could make the place more welcoming for all. I would gently encourage anyone who is POC or other in any way to steer clear of what could be an unpleasant experience.

Update 10/8/24:
Among THE very best steak tips I can get out at a restaurant, rather than making them myself. So many restaurants use poor quality meat imo... Not this place. The meat is high quality and the marinade and cooking are skillfully done. I only eat meat now for a weekly splurge and this is how I want to spend those prescious "meat dollars". The burger meat is also quite good. The rest of the time I really appreciate the black bean burger and fish tacos. And they always seem to have some nicely cooked vegetable available. The tot basket is fun and tasty. The beer selection is legit.
My wife and I at here again very recently and she got the steak tips for the first time and said they were excellent; again, high-quality meat and well-marinated. I had the black bean burger again and it was great; obviously home-made and not one of those "beyond meat" patties which has just about the same saturated fat as a regular burger. The place was hopping on a Friday night when we visited. Its obviously become a big neighborhood handout; mission accomplished, we really needed that.
One of my only complaints is that it is indeed quite noisy, despite some well-intentioned sound-dampening panels on the ceiling. Maybe putting some of those panels on the walls would help without detracting from the atmosphere. Also the tables inside are mostly high-tops which are not great for kids imo. Replacing some of those four-tops with regular height tables would address that.

I can't say that I'm too impressed with this place. I should've read the reviews first. As others have said, expensive draft beers, and probably the dirtiest bathroom I've seen in a bar that wasn't a sports or college bar. And this was the middle of the day on a sunday.
I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered a turkey burger. I was expecting the normal ground turkey meat burger. This was some sort of thick stuffing type thing, which was pretty gross, and hard to get down, so I didn't eat much of it. Anyway, I don't live in the area, and will never be back.

No prices on the beer menu and with $9 for a lager I understand why. There is nothing cozy or welcoming about this pub. I’m not sure if it knows what it’s trying to be…irish pub, sports bar, eatery, or dive bar. ?? There is a usual odor to the place so I didn’t order food. AVOID.

It's a really nice place for food and drinks, and open late on some days which is really nice.

Was just here over the weekend. Was here last year also. Went with 8 gal pals, separate checks, 8 different entrées, really nice waitress, Tanya (maybe). Can’t complain about anything. We’ll be back next year.
This place was great when it opened. Good food prepared with care, families in the place, good vibe. I've been in a bunch of times since and I've watched it deteriorate steadily. It's become a dive bar now. Bathrooms are dirty, food quality is down, and the bar crowd is really rough. Was in this afternoon for lunch and witnessed two near fistfights. The bartender was clearly intimidated and this crowd of 50 year old children should have been cut off. If you're looking for a quiet place with a good vibe to have a drink or to bring your family, try the Menotomy Grill. I've given the Heights Pub one too many chances.
