The food was ok. We (party of 4) got homemade chips and guacamole and they were delicious. The flatbread with tomatoes and cheese was not bad but on the greasy side. For our mains, we got: the burger with truffle fries (my son said it was good), husband and daughter both got steak tips with cheesy tater tots (husband wasn’t a fan of the tater tots) with a salad (consisting of just curly lettuce and the only choice for dressing was balsamic I got the salmon with sticky rice (which was more like a crispy patty) over a bed of vegetables. It was tasty. No alcohol but we got a bottle of San Pellegrino and my daughter got a mocktail. The bill came to about $210.00. And they do charge a kitchen fee of 5%. I feel like this should be disclosed on the menu or there should be a sign making customers aware of this practice. I probably wouldn’t go back.
Went there on Thursday evening for live jazz. Affordable small plates, tender schnitzel, tasty cocktail. I wish the music was louder but it probably was perfect for other people to carry a conversation. The owner himself was seen serving the tables.

Just had such a great experience at Tryst! GREAT food, GREAT service (Nival is fabulous)! Started w hummus & unreal warmed pita as well as phenom Guac & warm chips. Entrees - ricotta filled pasta, pasta bolognese, cheeseburger, kale Caesar. Dessert - flourless choc cake, warm almond cake & their homemade apricot vanilla ice cream! All fabulous!

Went there for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, its dark and cozy. The service was pretty good as well. However, the food quality was really bad. The portion was okay but the taste was terrible and pricey too. Two people, two mains (burger and deep fried pork tenderloin), and a side of truffle fries, no drinks, it costs $90. Unless they change their chefs and improve their food quality, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there.

Wonderful dining experience. The burger was overdone even though I requested medium rare. It's made with as blend of meat. I say go back to pure grass fed beef and let the juices fliw.
Our waitress was insensitive and lacked communication skills when it came to a severe food allergy that I have. When I told her I had a severe allergy, her response was “Beautiful” I was not sure if she understood what I was telling her. Needing an epipen is far from beautiful. Then she came out and said Cross contamination was a no go. I didn't understand what she meant and asked if I needed to order some other food and she said no. Then she brought out chips and guac and put the chips in front of me by my water glass and explained how they were cross contaminated with the exact shellfish I am severely allergic to. She was very unaware and it made for a nervous dining experience for me because I was not clear on if my food was safe to eat or not.
Loved the 1/2 and 1/2 for brunch: small kale/brussel salad with Eggs Benedict. Perfect and light combination. Thank you for putting the two of them together!
Staff was very nice and overall great atmosphere. Food came out very quick and was delicious, obviously made with care.

Tryst never disappoints. The food is delicious and nicely presented. The menu has something for everyone. Staff have always been welcoming and efficient, but lately the servers have been exceptionally delightful and caring.

You can get a gluten free menu. It's a subset of their normal rotating menu. Makes it very clear what options are gluten free.

We went to Tryst on a Sunday. It is fairly quiet. Nevertheless, the food and service are great. They have a good wine selection and the wait staff are efficient and attentive. The food is of good portion and very tasty. Will most certainly return.
Food quality was disappointing-especially Bell & Evan's chicken entrees we ordered Not as flavorful; portion size was reduced from previous times ordered Risotto was average Also ordered side of sauted Broccoli Rabe for app but was served regular broccoli over some cream It was good enough but not what we ordered
