We were visiting friends that lived in the area and booked a reservation for dinner here. We have been here a couple of times, decades ago. It's a large Chinese restaurant with your typical Chinese Polynesian fare. There was a fountain in the lobby area and the people working there were friendly.
My husband got a scorpion bowl to share and it was good, a nostalgic drink. For food, I opted for the appetizer combo which came with chicken wings, crab rangoons, fried rice, and boneless spare ribs. Everything was good except for the boneless spare ribs; it was dry and flavorless. The other items saved this dish, so I gave them 3 stars overall.

My family and I have been coming here for years, we came back today and the food definitely fell off! The ribs were all fat no meat on them what so ever, the rice was so salty beef teriyaki was chewy and the crab Rangoon were drenched in oil, nothing good to say about it, what used to once be our favorite restaurant is now a total waiste of money we will never go back!

Ordered take out and was so very disappointed. This used to be a favorite but the quality and flavor has definitely gone down hill. Pork fried rice - bland with very little pork. It’s like a mass production of fried rice with no flavor. Egg rolls - the egg rolls from mon koi were always my favorite but not after today. Filling was over salted and did not taste fresh. The shell also tasted like it had been fried in oil that has been sitting or reused lots of times. Boneless spare ribs - where is the sauce????? This is why I ordered boneless so that they would be accompanied by the sauce. My husbands order was so dry he couldn’t even bite into them. Chicken wings - ehhh Beef with mushrooms - lacking in flavor as well. What a waste of money.

They have changed their soy sauce and it is nothing like it was.THIS IS NOT THE SAME FOOD everything was plain and tasted like airport Chinese food so disappointed grew up on Monku this really stinks ?
