First time visiting, sat at the left bar. The food, drinks and atmosphere was great. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

My husband and I just had our wedding at J. Anthony's. For such a large and lovely space, they could not be more reasonably priced and easy to work with. The high ceilings and that wall of windows are really a wow factor. They are currently making updates to the event space, so I can only imagine that future events will be even more fabulous. Any time I interacted with staff leading up to the event, they were so upbeat and enthusiastic. Being pleasant is obviously a part of working in the restaurant industry, but everyone always felt genuinely excited for us, which made us even more excited as the big day drew near.
We live nearby, so we already knew that they had wonderful food. We got compliments from guests on all of it, but the most talked-about items were the beef and the stuffed shells. So many people told me they regretted not requesting more stuffed shells. They really were amazing; I could have eaten an entire plate of them! A dessert was included in our package -- we chose apple crisp and it was delicious. But we also brought in apple cider donuts from a local orchard. Abbey (the event manager) was super accommodating. We just dropped them off in the morning and then arrangements of donuts on beautiful gold chargers were placed at each table during the evening.
One other point of note was how lovely the event staff was! My husband and I had multiple guests comment to us throughout the evening about the wonderful service staff. I can't imagine that is something typically noticed or commented upon at a large event, so it just highlights how personable and accommodating they all were. I was able to chat with some of the servers toward the end of the evening and they were all so kind and complimentary, it made my night even more special.

I went here twice back when my fiancée was living in the area. Good spot for the price. The atmosphere is a little bit more upbeat than I typically prefer when I go out but for most I think it would be a good experience for most. I got the chicken Marsala dish and it was excellent.

Food and service were Excellent recommend this to anybody give it a 10.
The food is poor quality and double the price it should be.
They have had a serious fly probelm for over 5 years since the new owners. They fly around the table and land on your food while your eating. The flys are there year round now when years ago it was only for the summer months. One of the hosts said the flys nest in the walls of the resterant and they can't get rid of them.i have counted up to 12 flys at my table at once feasting on my food that I sent back and left. I have been sick a few times within an hour of eating there.
The elderly woman manager on at night is rude and unapologetic when addressing the fly problem or the poor quality of a meal.. The board of health should close them down but i was told in confidence by a health inspector at the board of health when i called that the inspector that regularly inspects them for the many complaints from diners at j anthonys never writes the owners of j anthonys up for health code violations as he and the owners are friends. An employee there who works in the kitchen said if I ever saw the condition of the kitchen i wouldn't eat there.
Since the new owners the quality of the food has gone way down and the prices sky high and they got a fly infestation.plus they got rid of the salad bar when they renovated years back. Big mistake. The place just caters to alcoholics now as they have 2 large bars that take up 90% percent of the building.
I won't go back ever. I can't believe I ever went there more than once

Had a great dinner Sunday night at J. Anthony’s Italian Grill. They are able to sit a table of 7 last minute. The atmosphere is nice, we were in the middle room which was easy for us to all talk to each other. I had there special, braised beef, raviolis, which were awesome! We all shared the stuffed mushrooms which were great. Portion size is good, most of us had some left overs. I got the pumpkin pie martini, which was pretty good and their double chocolate martini, which was really good!

Have been stopping here more recently as we find it reasonable in price, food is good, it is a bit loud as place draws a consistent crowd. Very casual overall. Menu has plenty to choose from so anyone can find something they like. Worth a visit with family or friends.

I normally don’t complain ever about food ever.. My friends and I had a good experience the first time we came here. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, the stuffed mushrooms were great, and we drove an hour away to try it again& ordered last night and I got the Lemon Chicken Parm and it wasn’t even edible.. I thought maybe it was me just not liking it, So I had my friend and husband try it and we all had to spit it out.. It tasted like actual vomit. Never again.. so disappointed :(

Located in a dense atmosphere of cars the food is well priced. Popcorn is provided. Sam Adam's on tap. Somewhat noisy but comfortable.

Overcooked ravioli (sent back) with bad vodka sauce, wilted salad cold fries. And, so loud on a Sunday night you could not speak to each other. This is definately not a true Italian restaurant. Don't bother
