Everything was fresh and tasty. Classic seafood type fare. I suggest you try the Merle stew it was delicious. The bacon wrapped scallops were also a hit and I had the swordfish that came with zucchini. Very tasty. They also were able to do a little side of grilled shrimp for my toddler.

The food is not as good as we are use to having from Barbyann's. The only dish out of 4 people. That was good was my cheese burger and fries. Also no one in my party had any seafood. Those could be ok. Good luck , It was very good to see a couple of friendly staff that still work there. We have been going here ever since they opened. I'm not sure if this was a one time bad night. I also don't think I can get my wife to go back and find out. Because she wants to remember Barbyann's as it was before they changed the menu. There are too many dishes that they took off the menu and no longer have. Some of the dishes they kept are not the same anymore. Even the desserts are not made the way they use to be. I mean the whole reason to go here was for the food and the friendly staff we saw all the time. Change is hard but we are not sure they made the right choices.

Love this place, ever since it was a teeny, always packed restaurant and bar, now it's even better as they got bigger over the years. The fish and chips and onion rings special was absolutely fresh and delicious. Jennifer was such an excellent server, (when someone takes such good care of you, I think they are the owner undercover)

The reasoning for the low stars is because of my preference. First the wait for a table on a somewhat dead night was about 30+ minutes. The clam chowder tasted like bacon instead of traditional clam chowder as posted on the menu. Also, I prefer thicker cream based chowder. This one is runny. When asking for an additional side of sauce, I got this tiny little cup of sauce with barely anything on the item I ordered. So it felt to me as though i was plaving my own sauce on a dry meal. Fries were a solid 8/10 soft but crunchy. Even with how slow it was it seemed the wait staff was not on their A game. No refills were offered on any beverage for anyone in my group. Which I look forward to being able to get refils while at a meal either it is soda or juice or water it's still polite to ask. I always give a place at least 2 chances before calling quits so maybe next time I go it will be a better experience.
Parking: Depending on how people park there can be limited parking spots.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big friendly ramp for handicapable persons
Lobster rolls were indeed excellent, as was the CBC sandwich! What a friendly place, too! Thank you to Joe for a terrific lunch for these out-of-towners!
