The food was blander than bland. I wanted to ask the waitress if she could bring me any spice they had but my wife elected to just pay and find another place to eat. Too bad because its a pretty Old New England decore. The place was busy on a Wednesday.. packed with an over 75 clientele. Glad the Dolphin has an old crowd following but I wont be coming back. We've tried this place 3x and each time we both said it was bad Nursing Home food.
Really cute place in a lovely area that feels truly old school Cape Cod - classic. We have been for both lunch and dinner visits. Some dishes were better than others but overall Id still say it was good and the menu is creative.

My husband and I really enjoyed our visit to the Dolphin. The food was delicious. I got the chicken piccata and my husband got the lobster pie. The drinks were also good. Our server was very attentive and the vibe was very cozy and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

Old World Charm in a beautiful sophisticated setting. Our waiter Milan was terrific. Very informative and helpful with the wine list and specials.

Poor lobster ravioli and clam chowder thin with only potatoes service was okay but slow on placing order and not asking if we wanted a second drink
15% gratuity automatically added on to bill for dinner to go. Food was fair. No utensils, no napkins, no butter for potato/roll and no salt/pepper. Perhaps eating on site would be a better option, however, this take-out customer is not impressed.

Excellent chowder (the best my Mom —85 and a Cape Cod resident and foodie) has ever had! Also lovely haddock meal. Our server Kyle was warm and efficient and we instantly felt at home in their comfortable but stylish dining room.
Very friendly staff. The food was prepared well. My wife asked for low sodium meal and Mitch our waiter was very accommodating. Great place to eat whether locals or visitors like us. Thank you Mitch and rest of the staff. Made our time on the Cape a memorial one.

A steady, local, quality food experience. Highly recommend for year round predictability and good portions of well prepared foods from an ample menu. Superb table service and attention. Go.

Standard Cape fare, nothing out of the ordinary. Lobster roll could have had some more lobster and the stuffed quahog definitely should have had more clam. However, the signature scrod was very good and the waiter (unlike the hostess) was pleasant.

Went for lunch with a friend. Have never been to the dolphin he has been before and told me how delicious it was I had the best stuffed quahog I ever had! Lots of chunky bits of quahog chorizo and it was hot with melted butter and lemon. For lunch I had the baked scrod that was encrusted with a coconut bread crumb topping it was one of the best pieces of fish I ever had to it was cooked perfectly moist and flaky and it was a very generous size lunch portion. I will definitely be back to the dolphin. We also had a great server his name was Kyle, he was very informative answered all our questions and was extremely professional and personable.

You have to make reservations if you want to sit in the front, otherwise you'll be put in the back or the bar area. The food was great, everyone I was with liked what they got. The veggie soup was fresh and hearty. The potstickers were fried nicely, wedge salad was fresh and the cornbread was probably the highlight of the meal, it was fluffy and buttery. However the woman who we spoke to in the front was pretty rude about us not having reservations even though it was an honest mistake. I would not go back.
