The lemon sorbet freeze gave a refreshing hit the spot taste. I tried a sample of the famous cape cod sand, I tasted hints of marshmallow with toffee notes. Everyone in my group got a least a scoop of the cape cod sand.

Very rude staff, the ice cream doesn’t taste any different from a basic chain, and you’re paying a wildly inflated price. Try one of the other places within a block or two and avoid the 30 minute line.

I love Katie’s but tonight they put my ice cream in the wrong cone. When asked to fix it the three staff members went in the back and dumped it into the new cone and came out giggling. We did not eat it. Very disappointed.

Don't ask them what the Cape Cod Sand flavor - my guess entry level staffers will now be seasoned top secret government workers after working here. Their Cape Cod Mud has coffee, so we asked if the Sand had coffee too as we didn't want to have any of the kids to sample coffee late at night. Again the stock answer of they cannot disclose anything. The head scratcher it will be if you sample / order. It is delicious but hard to say what it is, it definitely has bits of chocolate, and cookie/crumb dust that makes the sand(it did not taste like coffee). If you are worried about allergies, I doubt they would even reveal much(at least regarding the Cape Cod Sand, they had descriptions for the other flavors).That said, the ice cream is rich and flavorful. It's tight inside to order but there is outside porch with plenty of tables and seats.

Terrible food and service. The young lady had actually licked my ice cream to "taste test" the flavor. Despite the lack of hygiene, the owner defended the young girl. Do NOT EVER buy your ice cream here. Service is embarassing!

Wow! Katie’s homemade ice cream was packed on a Tuesday late into the night. And after having a soft serve cone - I know why! If your in the area stop by for some fast service and delicious ice cream. Stay awhile too and eat outside. You won’t be disappointed.
Everything was good but the young kids running it weren’t paying much attention to the front. Also, I would have liked to have a vegan milkshake since they had vegan ice cream but they couldn’t do that. I’m guessing they don’t keep a dairy free milk in house. ?♀️

Wherever I go for ice cream or coffee I always add a fifty cent tip on a five dollar item. The computer asks 50 CENTS OK? and I hit YES. Here, I type in 50, and the computer adds a five dollar tip on a five dollar item, and does not even give me the opportunity to approve it or not. Huge rip off. Never again.
