Cafe Au Lait was delicious as was the breakfast sandwich with egg, arugula, goat cheese and fig jam but what REALLY was the best surprise was the amazing caramel apple cookie, and (per husband)gluten free snickerdoodle cookie and gluten free pumpkin muffin which I had to enjoy half of each also. What a great gem I haven’t eaten baked goods this terrific in a long time. Friendly staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere!

The sweetest service ever! Exactly what you want in a neighborhood coffee shop. Atmosphere, too — cozy but bright windows (lovely benches outside but no tables), good music but not too distracting for readers/workers, friendly vibes all around.

The scone I had (scone of the day was raspberry) was literally the BEST SCONE I HAVE EVER HAD. I don’t say that lightly or with exaggeration. We all have our scone preferences and for me this was the platonic ideal: moist but not too fluffy, tender but not crumbly, perfectly balanced fruit to biscuit ratio, not too sweet but with a delightful crunch of coarse sugar on top. It was impossible to resist eating the whole thing in one sitting. It was clearly baked fresh that morning and made with fresh berries, not dried. I ordered it on the recommendation of the baristas, who enthusiastically said “our scones are to die for.” They were not kidding.

I also had a cold brew which could have been stronger, to be honest. And the portobello panini which was tasty and satisfying (it was a vegan panini but I added Swiss cheese to it *guilty blush*)

Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegan menu!

Nirvana was a blessing while on jury duty- vegan lunch directly across from the courthouse. I had the portobello panini and a tea latte. Both were just okay, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back, but I really appreciate the vegan options readily available at this place.

First time at the cafe. I had high hopes because of the reviews. Ordered an iced lavender and honey latte expecting it to be sweet, but it tasted like plain espresso with ice. No lavender, honey, or much milk. It was very bitter. I should’ve tasted it before leaving..

Best cup of coffee so far around the Cape. Mellow, smooth, fresh, low acid low, bitterness and a really clean, sweet finish to the coffee. Great. Would go back any time.

Latte: underwhelmed by the taste of a double shot in a small cup. Weak extraction or average bean with little creame. Milk was textured well. Better than Starbucks and most other little cafes that struggle to harness a decent espresso. I guess if you're into iced lattes or coffee milkshakes with a huge milk to espresso ratio, this would be suitable.

Nice place and staff

Cute cafe, coffee is decent. Would be back if it wasn't for the down right rude service. Both times I visited, the checkout person ringing out the transaction couldn't be bothered to say hello, good bye, have a nice day or even an "ok you're all set." I might as well have ran out my own coffee the individual was so disengaged. Just because we're not locals, doesn't mean we don't deserve friendly service.

Fast service despite being very busy. I had a raspberry scone that was perfectly baked and a dark roast coffee. Very yummy. And all the locals seem to come here and stop to talk with each, which was cute to see. I’m just here for the weekend, so I’ll be back before I leave.
