Not Your Average Joe's - Hyannis

We went to NYAJ on a Monday night and had their Chicken Piccata (one regular and one gluten free) and wedge salad along with beer and wine. Very relaxed dinner in a quiet atmosphere along with the best bread and olive oil with Parmesan dip around. Great price and consistent food quality.

Amazing atmosphere outside overlooking the water. Food took well over an hour. Waited another 30 minutes for a recook of a steak that was supposed to be mid rare and was well done...to finally get a new one that was even more well done. Left without getting it. Beautiful place of you want drinks and appetizers.

Food was good. Service was terrible. Seemed like they were adequately staffed but totally unorganized. Receptionist kept leaving front station with patrons waiting to be seated. Cocktails took more than 15 minutes to get even though the bartender was not busy. Seated at a wet table. Had to ask for it to be dried and had to fetch napkins and utensils on my own. Not sure I would return

We were at the Cape Cod Mall and decided to have dinner at the restaurant. My husband had Chicken Piccata and I had a chicken sandwich. The food was good and the service was very good.

Went with my two teenage sons for Mothers Day lunch. Perfect spot. Food was so good—there's something for everyone on the menu. Our server was great, very attentive and everything came out hot and timely. Not overly crowded but nice energy. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately each of the 3 dishes that we had were overly salted, esp my poke bowl with too much soy sauce mixed in the rice and at the bottom of the bowl. The manager was very nice, apologized and gave us a gift card for a future visit. Hoping the kitchen staff takes the advice!

Took a long time for the food to come out. It was not normal usually it comes out quick but this time took almost 40 min

We have always enjoyed our meals at NYAJ until this visit. The piece of Haddock for the herb crusted haddock was thin and scrimpy for the price of the entree. The mashed potatoes were cold and the fish over cooked. The succotash served with my scallops were in a sea of oily water. Two thumbs down! $95 for subpar food and one Guinness. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Great food, great prices, great service. Used my $15 birthday gift. What an incentive to dine!

Went for the $50 value deal. Had a great app, 2 really good entres and the desert was delicious.

The food and the service and the were fantastic, and the food was delicious as always our server was very friendly and helpful.

Service was not the greatest. Waitress did not bring bread, forgot to put in a kid's meal, and it took a while to get our order. Food was decent, but expensive.

Waiter when we sat was rushing us to put in drink and app order, which was understandable because it was 2/14/25 but then it took over 2.5 hours to get dinner and dessert, was long periods of time between him asking if we wanted something we would say yes then 20 minutes would go by before he came back to take our orders, was just an okay experience

excellent food, great service, overall it was a great experience, i have been going to your Hyannis resturant for many years, GREAT JOB

Service was great! Food arrived quickly & was quite tasty. Server did not rush us. A+
