Spanky's Clam Shack and Seaside Saloon

When I arrived alone, the hostess was chatting with a gentleman. She didn't stop talking on my account. After a few minutes of standing there I asked if they were open and then she stopped chatting. By then another gentleman came in the door. The hostess asked if we were together?? I said no why would you think that? Then she proceeded to try to introduce me to the man behind me that had just come in. It was very inappropriate and embarrassing. The rest of his party came in and she showed me to a table while she explained that she wanted to introduce me to him because he was good looking etc. As we walked to the table I told her she shouldn't do this to single women. At least I don't! I could've been married. Just inappropriate and embarrassing. The food was very good but the service was terrible. I had to keep asking other servers for help when mine disappeared. This was my birthday and I just wanted a nice meal in a restaurant sitting down. Oh well!

Had lunch with friends on the patio. Great view and scenery. Try the onion rings they are outstanding . All of the our other food was delicious as well!

The views were great and the staff were very attentive for sure. I just found the food could have been better since the lobster roll was impossible to eat as a sandwich and the steamers were extremely sandy.

Must get the steamer clams! Our shrimp and fish were prepared well. Seat by the marina was nice. Hostesses were very accommodating. Poor server was slammed but it was just after Labor Day so I’m sure staff was short. Definitely go!

Overall not bad but slightly let down from the hype I kept hearing about how good everything was. I got the fish and chips and it was mediocre at best with really not much flavor overall. My fiancee got the seafood bake and was very underwhelmed with the flavor giving it a 2/5 only. She did however rave about how good the seafood stew was.

Amazing! The broiled seafood platter and clam strips are phrnomenal! My initial dish, the clams on linguini, was not so great, but I reordered for the mussels and got comped the meh one. Kim was such an excellent server. Recommended!

We showed up last night. At first we wanted to sit outside. It was to cold. Moved inside but then it was under an air vent. Moved to third table. Staff was always accommodating. The food was incredible. Lobster bisque with big chunks of lobster. Swordfish was excellent. Mom had scallops wrapped in bacon wife has salad with a huge piece of salmon. Overall a great experience. We are only here for a few days but we will probably eat here again.

Parking: We went on a Monday night. Parked right in front of restaurant. If you are staying at Harbor House Inn, walk.

Great place! Fresh food at a good price! With kind and great service! Cup of chowder, side of clam strips, calamari, bang bang shrimp and chicken tenders!! All to share. Will be back!

A cute, cozy waterfront dining place
We had a shrimp appetizer. It was cooked to order and served hot, not lukewarm. It was really good, and the drinks were good. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy
