Active duty bar only not a veteran bar as advertised. They don't understand how it works

Friendly atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks right at the start of main street makes this the perfect place to end your day in town

The Fox Hole? More like the Fox's A******* S*** stain, won't take out of state IDs with no explanation from Dr. Eggman. Turned 20+ people away at 10pm. Also looks smelly. Enough said

Nicest dive bar around! $10 membership to get it but it lasts a year definetly worth it.

Always rockin!

Terrible service. Denied entry for having wedding attire on. No further reason . Not worth cover charge

I used to love going to "The Hole." However, its under new management and things have changed. They decide to close the doors early when they want to. They have an unnecessary line most weekend nights even though it's not near to max capacity. However, they still make a good drink and have some of the regulars that still visit. What happened to "if it aint broke, don't fix it?"

Hidden gem that shines with small-town charm and provides ample gaming options including pool. Totally worth the $10 annual membership fee!

A tiny easy to miss members only bar in osterville. I actually really enjoyed it. Geared towards the military they do a lot of work with supporting veterans.
a great veterans club - nice local people - cold draft & regular beer - $10 yearly associated member fee that is good for the rest of the year - also has the Veterans hall that be rented for events - also has reasonably priced beverages

A great veteran's club

We called them in advance and asked if the wedding party of approximately 30 people could come in. They said yes, then when we actually showed up they did not allow people in saying there was a limit at no wedding party. Disappointed to say the least.

So it's post-COVID. Last year this place was shutdown. It's 21+ and a Veterans bar; at least until on-season, then it's Chads, Brads, Beckys, and all the generational wealth of Cape Cod akin. Everything is cash ONLY. Fiancé brought me up here, so as a vetI had to seek it out. It also helps that it's the only "bar" that serves in walking distance for all of Osterville until 1 PM. There's a line to get in. Anyone with a Veterans Affairs ID is free. Everyone else is $10 for a "membership." Drinks are relatively cheap. We drink with the professional crowd, so a Jame-O or a Rum & diet is like $7/per. From what I could tell with the kids, the Bud Lights and Coronas were pretty affordable. Didn't see any food sightings of suggestions that much was available. Half the children are piss drunk walking like Dr. Seuss characters to the bathroom. There are billiards, and decent music - since when did Gen Z fall in love with Country Roads btw? There's an ATM (in case you missed the on eat Fancy's on the walk). Bartenders (especially "Mugsy" or Robert as he said his mother named him) are great. Will definitely come back; if not for a lack of options, but because I need to help them with their outdated GWOT patch collection on the walls.
Not a veteran bar. It's an active duty bar only.
