The PERFECT place for a wedding reception! My wife and I recently got married on the Cape in July 2024. We were in search of a smaller, intimate venue for our reception, which as you can imagine is not the easiest thing to find in middle of the summer on Cape Cod. From our first interaction with the event staff, we were sold. What really drew us to this venue was their event coordinator, Meghann. From our first meeting through our special day, she was accommodating, kind, insightful, and gave us the reception of our dreams. As many of you know, planning for a wedding can be stressful, especially ensuring everything goes as planned day of. My wife had many ideas for decor, arrangements, etc but it was Meghann who brought it all to life. Her expertise in planning events put our minds at ease and we could not have felt more comfortable giving her the reigns to guide us throughout every phase of planning. We were lucky enough to have our reception in the Sun Room, an intimate setting with a private bar and plenty of room for a dance floor. The flower arrangements and decor were set up to perfection, just how we had them pictured. The service we and our guests received from the staff was nothing short of exceptional. Most importantly for our guests, the food (which we selected from some pre planned options) was outstanding. In my experience, wedding food has always been mediocre, due to the difficulty of preparing everything for a large group. The kitchen staff far exceeded the expectations we had and our guests were raving about the food for weeks after. If I could give more than five stars I would. Highly recommend the West End for wedding receptions or any other event. Meghann, huge thank you to you and your team for your commitment to making our special day one to remember for the rest of our lives!

After a VERY long day (that included a car accident and 2+hr drive... with a 5 year old in tow) we were desperate for good dinner and chance to relax.

The place was nice, almost where we weren't sure if there was a dress code (there isn't). The front-end woman who greeted us was very friendly when we walked in. Didn't feel judged by our casual attire.

We were vastly under dressed, but didn't feel judged. We splurged and each ordered the 8oz. filet. Our son got the cheeseburger. We were all very happy with our choices. The steak was delicious (although a tad under medium, it was so tender it was not worth the mention)

The drinks also delicious (I got the French 25 and husband a vodka martini).

The only downfall is not having much for kids. The menu was shallow, I couldn't get grilled chicken only breaded and no apple juice or milk. We made do with the cheeseburger and water, but not many toddlers drink lemonade or cranberry juice. Totally our option of course. But finding healthy meals for kids is so hard. Grilled chicken with a veg or potato would be lovely.

I'd definitely come back (now that our expectations have been set). And would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

With brunch reservations at 11 am, we were seated immediately. One table was seated before us, two tables seated after us. When no wait staff appeared after 20 minutes, we left. If I could give no stars, I would. First impressions matter.

Can I get a 10 star? Even though our server was lacking a bit of luster, she wasn't all that bad just meh. But the owner, GM, glistening bar, super clean establishment, beautiful decor and well executed (simple sophistication but pricy) food was memorable. Can't wait to come back. Particularly when they make the sexiest polenta I've had in quite a while. And drinks equally sensual and tempting!

Beautiful and delicious. Everything about this restaurant had me wanting to come back. My coworker and I were visiting Hyannis for a conference this weekend and chose The West End for dinner due to the close proximity to our hotel. The second we saw the outside of the building, we knew we were going to love the atmosphere. The hostesses were warm and welcoming. I requested to be sat near their brightly lit up library on the wall and they were happily accommodating. Our server was attentive, friendly, prompt, and patient. The drinks were fabulous from the taste to the presentation. The food was absolutely perfect, again with both taste and presentation. I am not from the area, and always like to try new restaurants when I go somewhere, but The West End will be difficult to stray away from to instead try something new. I may just have to make an exception for this restaurant to continue visiting during the annual conference.

Excellent food, top notch service (the constant water pouring was even a bit over the top!), and the ambiance was something between a 20s billiard room and an 18th century library. Loved it. Perfect birthday dinner! Fancy dress not required but I sure felt more in line with how lovely the vibe is with one on. :)

Not to be missed! My wife and I sat at the bar, we had dinner and drinks. Our bartender Josh was incredibly helpful with choosing food items and clearly had extensive knowledge of the menu. The food was fantastic, the drink my wife ordered was expertly balanced and the vibes in the restaurant were all on point. Thank you to the west end for providing the neighborhood with an elevated experience!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Barnstable, if not on Cape. No matter what you order, it will be of the highest quality and extremely delicious. Staff is very professional and attentive. Cocktails are fantastic. One of my favorite restaurants. Highly recommend for an amazing meal (not the cheapest) and will absolutely go again.

Hosted my daughter-in-law’s Baby Shower at the West End on June 30th. Had 35 people in private room and patio for Brunch. Everything was top notch. Food and very experienced staff made it a wonderful event. Highly recommend The West End for similar events. Working with Meaghan Kennedy was a smooth easy arrangement.

Nice place, expensive and the service was poor. Wasn't extremely busy for a Saturday evening but had to wait longer then we should have for food, drinks and service. Server never checked on our table on her own, had to "chase her down" several times for various basic things.
