It was a chilly night and they didn't have space heaters, which I thought was odd. But mostly, I was excepting a slightly more elevated dining experience - table cloths perhaps, candles on the table, and certainly not table numbers and plastic drink ware. Our server, Chin, was very professional and attentive, and the food was good (salmon and steak) and the prices were as expected, but it certainly was not exceptional.

The steak was terribly overcooked. THe brussel sprouts were delicious. The salmon was fine.

we enjoyed our meal here. a very generous piece of steak--which unfortunately had to be sent back initially (i had specifically asked for "very rare," and what i got was medium-to-well. i almost never send back food, but gray meat is not something i want to eat). nevertheless, the second try came back rare(ish), and the salad was quite good. (fortunately, they were gracious about the whole thing.) we were a bit surprised that the very tasty quinoa bowl was so small (like a side, rather than a main dish)--esply at the price. all that said, however, we enjoyed the meal (a beautiful setting!), and would go back again.

The food was fresh and very tasty. The service was beyond reproach. Jacob‘s pillow is a stunning backdrop for lunch.

Food was fine. Service was saved by a waitress for adjoining table who was a complete star. She took our order and expedited service, rescuing our luncheon.

Disappointing in that the menu posted on Open Table was different and much more limited than the menu on Open Table.

Gazpacho was very good. The grilled Brussels sprouts were greasy. The hamburger was a thin, manufactured patty that was overcooked. The salad was dry and not fresh. The steak was tough.

The dinner we had before our performance was not bad , but I wouldn't choose to go there again. Lunch the next day was very disappointing. We both ordered dessert in order to fill ourselves up. The desserts limited but were good.

We arrived and were seated in a timely manner. The entire evening was lovely however my only complaint is that the starter and entree both arrived within 2 minutes of each other. Thankfully the starters were cold so we could eat the entree first and then the starter. I was disappointed that the server provided no other option. Nor an apology.

This was a disappointing experience. Food was a mixed bag--brussels sprouts & gazpacho were great; quinoa bowl was mushy, small, and bland; entree salads were very small. Service was a challenge--took work to flag down the server, wrong drinks were delivered, and bill included charges for many more drinks than we ordered.

Well...the Pillow Café was better than our past experiences, but that was a very low bar. It's very convenient, of course, to be able to dine on the grounds, and the ambiance in the tent is lovely. Our server was very pleasant and competent, though her young helpers made it seem like your neighbors' slightly untamed kids were delivering your food, sauntering around after requested plates and forks, etc. (Managers...a little training, please!) The Café has an extremely limited and simple menu--understandable, in that it has to be a pain to run a restaurant where ALL the patrons have to be out at the same time. But, since it's so simple, could we please train the grill chef to be able cook a steak to medium rare? I'm too old to expect that a burger will ever be cooked to the ordered temperature except by pure happenstance, it seems, so it was no surprise when my medium rare burger came out at what appeared to be medium well. I think it's hard to cook frozen patties, and I don't know if using only never-frozen meet is practical in an operation like this. The blueberry pie, however, was simply pathetic. And small, to boot. It couldn't possibly be that difficult to do better than this thing. In fairness, my wife's arugula salad was perfect. Give it a try the next time you're attending a performance--it's not horrible!

Very tasty, fresh well prepared food. Short menu but good options. Moderate sized proportions. Most importantly EXCELLENT SERVICE. Efficient, friendly, courteous and professional. Special call out to our primary server Melanie, who is 5 stars on all levels. Memorable.

Had a great experience here after a dance performance at Jacob's Pillow. It was especially lovely after everyone left at 7:30 to attend an evening performance. Then it became peaceful and quiet as the sun set. A wonderful end to a lovely visit to Jacob'sPillow.

Someone in the kitchen was blasting classical music on a tinny little radio; very unpleasant. Even though it was a beautiful day, the sides of the tent were down, trapping tons of flys inside; we were told it was policy. The food was mediocre. Even though dessert appeared on both the printed and online menus, we were informed that there was "no dessert service" at lunch. The whole experience was disappointing. You may prefer eating at the Pub.

The service was great and has us ready in plenty of time for the performance! But the portions of the food were small for the price. Things seemed carefully prepared and tasty.
