“Went to Papa Bob's for dinner after taking our kids tubing today.The atmosphere was very laid back and cozy. Our server was Keith. He was very kind and accommodating. Our food came out at a respectable time and the portions were huge! The burgers were delicious as well as the spaghetti and meatballs and my Buffalo chicken calzone. There had been an unfortunate mixup with my order but was told it would be out soon. It was definitely worth the wait!Not only was the calzone huge, it also tasted amazing. To smooth things over, they comped the calzone for the wait although I said I didn't mind waiting and even offered to pay for it still. They also gave us the meal that had been made by mistake as well as a few cookies! I hadn't expected any of that and it was a very pleasant surprise! I left a nice tip.This is a wonderful place to visit and definitely worth making a trip! The portions are huge, delicious, and worth every penny.The staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome. Thanks again Keith and T! (Sorry I couldn't remember her name) You guys are amazing! “A trip to The Pillow is always an amazing choice. This was our first time eating here. We had the chicken sandwich which was fine. Unfortunately it was a hot sandwich served on refrigerated cold ciabatta. With all the attention to detail in all other aspects of The Pillow experience I can say we were underwhelmed with our dining experience. We will definitely be back to the pillow but will likely dine elsewhere.”

“I always think it is important to leave a review when people step up after a mishap. I had ordered takeout about a month ago and received the wrong order. Because of my food allergies I couldn't just eat what I was given and I couldn't bring it back because I was at work. So I had to throw what I had paid for away. When I called they said next time you order we will take good care of you. That day was today. They gave me my order for free, the food was absolutely amazing...they were caring and apologetic and they really came through on the make good! I appreciate the staff and everyone. Thank you for being such an upstanding place!”

“Great brewery, with a very intimate feel . Not a huge selection, but what they brew, they brew extremely well. We got to see" the doomsday ladies" with a raucous dancing crowd.., and it is more than just a brewery it the local gathering place, kids ,dogs families and they happen to make make great beer.”

“BEST donuts I've had in the Northeast so far. I've been looking for any donut shop that's not a Dunkin Donuts and it's been difficult to find. I'm from Canada and Tim Hortons is my baseline for a decent donut. Shire donuts are the same texture, extremely fresh and made to order. Absolutely delicious and can't wait to try more flavours!”

“First time since new bar, it did NOT disappoint!! It's even BETTER! At 53, I honestly had the best Reuben of my life from there! It was the bomb! Fresh, thinly sliced juicy corned beef, melted Swiss cheese, saurcrout and a yummy thousand island! AND the fries!! Homemade with delicious seasoning that was soooo scrumptious, could not stop eating them!!!!!!!!! They really take the time and care to make sure all the food going out of the kitchen is top notch!! DELICIOUS!! The waitress was wonderful and friendly, very attentive and kept checking on us and drink refills quickly! The place is beautiful, very inviting and relaxing atmosphere, A MUST!!”

“Was passing through this town of Dalton and stumbled into this place with my wife. We were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. We had the rib eye steak. This is easily one of, if not the best steak we've eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment!”

Our server, Sheila, came right over and got our beverage order—-they have raspberry iced tea— my favorite!! Jimmy had a coke. I had seen on the lobby special board that they had Zuppa di Pesce and I was sold just seeing the words. Jimmy knew he wanted pizza and ordered the meat lovers with mushrooms added. My dinner came with a salad also. Perfect size to complement the meal. Everything came in a super timely fashion and was piping hot upon arrival. Totally a hidden gem that needs more recognition in Pittsfield **ample parking and tons of seating inside** We have added this to our local favorites list!! Sheila was awesome as I am sure the entire staff is as well!!”

“I stopped by this evening while I was working, and I'm glad I did. This is the best ice cream shop in this entire area. They have the best, creamiest, sweetest ice cream you've ever had! I got a Lg. Black Raspberry on sugar cone. It was excellent, really big, and a great value. The staff is very nice and polite. If you have not been to Lakewood Creamery yet, what are you waiting for? Treat yourself to the finest, you will be very pleased.”

“Good dinner, nice service. Not fancy but it's a Public House so it's kind of perfect. We had the truffle fries and fried green tomatoes- both were great: hot and crispy. Entrees included a burger and a fried fish sandwich - solid. Eggplant with polenta was a little subpar. The standout was the stuffed peppers - excellent. Would definitely go back!”

In my experience, it's just him 99% of the time, so it can be a few minutes of waiting before he gets to you. The shop is small, so it's very much a to-go oriented service style.”
