Walking into Shire Donuts on a chilly winter Saturday morning, the smell is better than anything I could write... I'm not usually a fan of cake donuts, but thought I'd give them a try when a friend told me they served them warm; I've only ever had them "Second hand, cold." I had a hard time deciding what to get, really it was only going to be my son (14 yrs) & myself eating them, how many did we need? Uh oh. I've lived in Pittsfield for a year but hasn't been on site, before. It was so, so good unfortunately. The textures... The flavors... The staff who seem to know they're sharing something special...I will want to go here a lot and eat too many donuts. A lot.

BEST donuts I've had in the Northeast so far. I've been looking for any donut shop that's not a Dunkin Donuts and it's been difficult to find. I'm from Canada and Tim Hortons is my baseline for a decent donut. Shire donuts are the same texture, extremely fresh and made to order. Absolutely delicious and can't wait to try more flavours!
