If you are at Jacob's Pillow - this is your own choice. It is not bad, it is just not on the level of sophistication you would expect from the place which is perceived to be a part of this top notch ballet venue.
The Pillow Café definitely spoke the 'end of season' blues. It appeared ready to be cleared out and put into storage for next season. The service was fine and the food was good but not up to the usual fare. The lobster roll was fresh with the toasted roll a bit dried out...the plate was tired with a little touch of weakly dressed greens. No cream for lukewarm coffee but there was at least milk. A trip to The Pillow is always an amazing choice. This was our first time eating here. We had the chicken sandwich which was fine. Unfortunately it was a hot sandwich served on refrigerated cold ciabatta. With all the attention to detail in all other aspects of The Pillow experience I can say we were underwhelmed with our dining experience. We will definitely be back to the pillow but will likely dine elsewhere.
