I would love to review the Pillow Cafe but when I arrived on time for my 4:30 reservation - that I had CONFIRMED - there was nothing there but an empty tent and a soda machine. I'm talking no chairs, no tables, no workers. Just a sign that said Pillow Cafe and a couple of lovely white tents, just like in the pictures. Why did Open Table let me make a reservation if the restaurant is not open? Why would the restaurant offer a reservation if they're not open? I had a lovely steak elsewhere, but that's not the point.

A trip to The Pillow is always an amazing choice. This was our first time eating here. We had the chicken sandwich which was fine. Unfortunately it was a hot sandwich served on refrigerated cold ciabatta. With all the attention to detail in all other aspects of The Pillow experience I can say we were underwhelmed with our dining experience. We will definitely be back to the pillow but will likely dine elsewhere.

If you are at Jacob's Pillow - this is your own choice. It is not bad, it is just not on the level of sophistication you would expect from the place which is perceived to be a part of this top notch ballet venue.

The Pillow Café definitely spoke the 'end of season' blues. It appeared ready to be cleared out and put into storage for next season. The service was fine and the food was good but not up to the usual fare. The lobster roll was fresh with the toasted roll a bit dried out...the plate was tired with a little touch of weakly dressed greens. No cream for lukewarm coffee but there was at least milk. The desserts were good with the Key Lime pie excellent. Perhaps it was the dreary day that made the after-matinée meal a bit of blah.

Service was excellent. Attitude of staff is perfect. Food is delivered quickly, which is important given that people have a performance to attend. Food is okay. Certainly acceptable. Not outstanding. Selection is good. Bar selection could be better. Ambience on a rainy night, with the flaps down, is so-so. Perhaps decoration and lighting could improve things. On a bright, sunny day, it would be fine. Things are much improved from last year, for sure.

The staff is GREAT. The location is beautiful and convenient. If they changed the menu during the summer, had better quality desserts and more veggies, we'd both be happier with the food.

The food was delicious. Much better than I expected given that the cafe has a built-in clientele at Jacobs Pillow. We ate here after a 6pm show and the service was as top-notch as the food.

It was a perfect setting, and a beautiful set up right at the pillow. The value was good. My friend and I both ordered hamburgers. They didn't have much taste and were quite rubbery. The bacon was not good. The fries were good and tasty, but we're not done extra crispy as we asked. The experience was wonderful because of the atmosphere I would not order a hamburger again.

This is a perfect setting and a lovely way to begin an evening at Jacob's Pillow. For those who remember the pre-Covid cafe, this is still a work in progress, but the food is good and the small staff is trying hard. Will try again next time I'm at Jacob's Pillow.

We dined here at 4.30 before an early dance performance at the outdoor theatre. Lovely tent set up. Colorful glasses and stunning flower arrangements! Staff were kind and helpful. Excellent curated wine list. Not run of the mill wine. A little pricey but that's okay. We both had the gazpacho soup. Amazing. Yum. Fresh. My friend had salmon which she said was good to okay. My pasta with mushrooms veggies cream sauce was amazing ! Huge portion. Delicious flavor. Pasta cooked perfectly. Cream sauce just delicate enough. Not goopy. Will be thinking about that pasta dish for a long time. Scrumptious ! I recommend u try the restaurant and treat yourself. Enjoy.

We enjoyed our dinner. The chicken, salmon, and pasta were all delicious. The meal could have been paced better. Our entrees were brought out when we were halfway through our appetizers.

Thank you to the Pillow Cafe staff both for the nice meal, and for their kind help after a crazy day. We'd arrived for our pre-performance dinner, only to find the performance was a 2pm matinee. They comped a dessert -- much appreciated. Then my husband left his phone on the table after paying the bill. I heard a "Hey, hey" as we began to leave the Jacob's Pillow parking lot, but it was very faint. I called the cafe when we returned home, and they said they'd run after us with the phone. They are holding it for us, and we'll pick it up today. Performances and dining are always a treat, but the friendly staff went above and beyond.

A fantastic meal on the charming and becoming property of Jacob's Pillow. Kind friendly and helpful staff. Delicious starters with local fare clearly a focal point. Mains were delicious and Key Lime pie to finish it off is recommended. It's great here. Go. And watch some dance before or after. It's good for the soul.

There was a nice selection of food choices. So happy that you are now providing lunch for matinees Friday through Sunday. Lovely to eat out under the tent in beautiful surroundings.

The ambiance was outstanding. The food choice was excellent and we enjoyed our meal tremendously. We were surprised how reasonable the price was considering the quality of the food. We found the experience relaxing and very pleasant. We highly recommend the Pillow Cafe to anyone who likes an excellent meal in a lovely atmosphere.
