It is a decent place to spend a few hours. It's an older crowd, which is perfect because most places are in the early 20's to late 20's crowd. They had a band playing, which was pretty good, so there was a cover charge. I didn't try their food, so I can't really say, but the ambiance and crowd were good. It's worth a visit...

went ina few sundays ago for football lunch and a few beers ! new bartender ashley with the red hair is the absolute best! she was hustling her butt off not missing a beat ! and was still able to have great conversation while holding down that huge bar ! food was great also!! highly recommend this hidden gem !

Liz DOES NOT support her local community! I was helping with a local fundraiser in early 2024. I stopped into Liz’s, the place was pretty empty & I asked to speak with a manager to see if Liz’s would consider donating a gift card to be raffled off at the fundraiser. I was told the manager was not there, so I left a flyer for the fundraiser with my name & phone number on the back. I never heard from anyone; I called multiple times and each time I was told Liz had just left, even though I called when they said she would be there. Therefore, I gave up.
Today, I was again working for a fundraiser for the Bellingham VFW Post 7272 BBQ cook-off (proceeds to go towards our dedicated Veterans) to seek out a gift card donations from various local businesses. I decided to give Liz’s another chance. I was met by a rude bartender who told me “now is not the time” (it was 3pm on a Saturday). Granted it was a little busy and I got the impression the bartender was the only one on duty. She then told me Liz would never talk to me about a donation, and said I could leave a flyer, but now was not a good time. I left & decided I would never approach Liz Tavern ever again for a donation, nor will I give her my business. Sadly I recently heard their food had improved, but I prefer to give my business & hard earned money to an establishment who gives back to the community that helped to build their business. Very unfortunate for Liz’s and I will be sharing my experience to my friends & family.

Stopped for drinks and played a few games of pool. Did not have food.
Bartender with purple hair would much rather talk to her friends at the bar than to serve customers who are waiting on the other side of the bar then gets angry and gossips to others when she gets the tip she deserves for terrible service…What exactly am I tipping you for? For making me walk around the bar to standby and wait for your conversation to be over so you can grab a beer from the fridge and push 2 buttons on your nozzle? If I had the choice, I would’ve let her continue to not do her job, talk to her friend for how ever long she wanted and just grabbed the drinks myself.
