On June 29th, around 5 p.m., my mother left her home to enjoy dinner with her grandson.
She choked on a piece of steak — and she died.
She never made it back home.
What hurts even more is what happened afterward:
Nothing.
No one from your restaurant reached out.
Even after my friend visited and left his number while asking about her belongings —
no one called. No message. No acknowledgement.
The silence was painful.
It felt like her life didn’t matter.
But I’m writing to say — her life did matter.
Just like anyone who walks into a restaurant expecting to enjoy a meal and go home.
She was a mother, a grandmother, and a beautiful soul.
Please consider investing in life-saving tools like LifeVac or other anti-choking devices.
It’s a small action that could make all the difference.
Maybe it could have helped her.
Maybe it will help someone else.
I carry this pain every day — and I hope that by speaking up, someone else might be spared from it.

Food is ok. Great service and lively atmosphere. The best are their frozen mudslides! Best around. It's tough to find a spot that does it right. Their dinner specials are also very good. Love to go hang out with family and friends. You can also watch the game or listen to live music. Very fun place.

So far, with the few times we've been there, food has always been good. Atmosphere is pub / restaurant. Decent selection of beer and it has a full bar.
Kid-friendliness: I've seen kids there. People are very respectful. The bar area is some ehat segregated from the dining area.
So disappointed , ordered take out tonight, spent over $50 for 2 adult meals and a kids meal, every single thing was gross and over or under cooked. What a waste.

I previously have ordered golden BBQ steak tips many times (pre Covid) and they were delicious and always cooked wonderfully. Unfortunately I believe they have changed their ‘’meat” vendor because this is not steak tips. It may be frozen steak tips? They were horrible. The “bbq sauce” is mainly just oil and a spicy sort of oil mixed… also ordered whole clams (frozen) not fresh. Unfortunately in the last few years it appears they have gone down hill.

Grumpy’s is addicting. Great place with a top notch atmosphere where everyone is welcome. 22 beers on tap! Can’t beat the kitchen being open until 12 either.
