We went for Easter with a 2yo and a 6yo and had a good time. The kids were happy and so the adults. As other people commented is not really an egg hunt, because the eggs and colorful ball are all around the garden. But I knew it before going and explained the kids in advance so they weren’t disappointed. You fill the basket with eggs and need to return to exchange for a goodie bag with some candy, Easter chocolates and coloring sheet, stickers, a ring, balloon and a few more...
What a jewel! I have driven by this farm for years and never appreciated what a rich heritage it has. My family and I just enjoyed a historical tour with the owner, Jenn, who is fifth generation. Jenn was a wonderful, hospitable hostess and in one hour's time taught us a little about American history, traditional farming, architecture, and art. Our tour ended with holding an endangered breed of chicken (sooooo cute!) and we were sent home with eggs, honey, apples and candied...
My son and his fiancé chose The Great Barn as their wedding venue. I have been working with Jennifer (the owner) and could not be happier. She is extremely accommodating, friendly, and super easy going. We cannot wait to celebrate here! The venue is an absolute dream!
