The best Indian food in MA. Probably the best Indian food in New England. And possibly the best Indian food I've had.
Every dish is great. The service is amazing.
Theres a classic sit down restaurant side and a more casual bar side with TVs. You can watch the basketball game while having a drink and eating Indian food! What's better than that?
Lucky to have this in the area!!
Absolutely delicious and very prompt service. I can't wait to go back
Mixed feelings about this place. There are lots of indicators of bad food that you pick over the years - seeing more non-Indians than Indians eating at a place / reviewing it online, restaurant itself being in a rundown neighborhood and looking dingy on first sight. Despite all of that, we enjoyed our food. Curries were just right, though the lunch portions were small. Naans were a bit chewy but came out fresh and hot. Everything took time and we wondered several times when the food was going to come. We got complimentary dessert at the end (each of us were offered one but we ended up taking just one for the table). Overall, it ended up being much better than what I expected when I walked in.
My husband and I sat at the bar and our waitress Leanna was sweet, kind and efficient. The two chicken dishes we ordered were quick to come out and delicious. Leanna makes a good expresso martini, too. Overall I would come back here for the food but the entire bar and dining area is lacking ambiance. Bare walls and no fake candles on the candles-an easy fix!!! They need to hire me for decorating! ;)
Given that there’s not many Indian restaurants around here, I have to say that they could be worse. Their food is actually quite good. I generally go for takeout, but they have a really nice bar in there. I’m sure it’s tough to run an Indian restaurant in a Massachusetts suburb, considering that the average person from MA thinks that beef gristle on a roll, drenched in processed cheese is good 😀
Some of the best Indian food I've ever had.
We have been going to Anmol (mostly takeout) for more than 8 years. Everything we have had has been wonderful. Their medium-level spicy is perfect for those that like heat. They always provide delicious pappadum to start your meal too. Our favorite dishes are the chicken chili and bangthan bartha (sp? It’s spicy eggplant with ginger sauce). We haven’t found a better place in the Boston area. This is THE BEST!!
This is the first restaurant where we felt discriminated, all the more surprising coming at an Indian restaurant. Americans (non-indians) were seated in plush red sofas with excellent ambiance. Indians were seated in a separate area divided by a wall from the Americans, where the tables and chairs were ordinary and the lights make you think you are in a cheap restaurant. They tried to seat us in the chairs section even though there many free tables in the sofa section. They reluctantly relented only we forcibly asked to be seated in the sofa section. Attenders were also less courteous and rude to us, while they were pleasant and outgoing to the Americans. It makes me sad that we felt discriminated from our very own people.

Truly phenomenal food. Full of flavor and great portion sizes. Really a treat to have Anmol nearby to eat at. Good to dine-in or do take out.

Service was friendly and easy to order on the phone for takeout. They don't have delivery available on any platform as of this review, but there is a parking lot available for pickup. The food was tasty and we will be back!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on a separate section of the menu. The sauces all taste different and have lots of flavor
Parking: There is a small free parking lot in addition to paid street parking around the restaurant

Amazing chutneys and great flavors from the Tandoori Mixed Grill and masala sauce. We ordered everything at “hot” spice level since most Indian restaurants aren’t really spicy, but this place actually puts in “hot!! amount of spice. Be ready if you get hot. My only complaint is that the tandoori grill was not freshly grilled, seems reheated.
