““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.”

“This is my favorite coffee spot in Beverly. They are always well staffed and friendly, and their baristas are consistent with drink and espresso shot quality. I’ve been here often enough over the past year that I can tell they have good staff retention, which is a good sign that they treat their people well, and I know helps with that quality and consistency.

I recommend their hot chocolate with their house made marshmallow, anything with espresso in it, and their tot bowls. Their tater tots are delicious and any sandwich can be made into a tot bowl.

I would skip the bakery items unless you have a little one, they are the only item type that I’d skip here. That said, I’d love to see babka or homemade poptarts in the case, but am happy with my hot food and iced latte.”

Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. We will definitely be back and would always request her. Food was amazing, huge portions, flavorful, and came out so quickly! A must in the area! The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!”

“The Back Beat Brewery is the absolute best restaurant around in Beverly. They have a variety of delicious sandwiches, fresh brewed coffee, & hand crafted beers & awesome Pizza at good prices too. The have live entertainment some nights, a great friendly wait staff, and nice atmosphere with clean bathrooms. Its also spacious inside with decent tables & chairs too. Game boards at the bar. They are so kind and welcoming to every single person that comes in. Aside from that, the coffee is AMAZING! They have so many different flavors to choose from and you can customize any drink however you like (even if it's not on the menu). Also, the breakfast sandwiches... wow. Get 'The Stallion', just trust me. Prices are completely reasonable. Honestly, no other coffee place I've been to even compares. I'll be a longtime customer!”

Staff is incredible. I recommend booking a function there if it’s available. Fantastic space with handicap parking out front. And a great place to visit overall and they have room in the back for smokers!!

The atmosphere is unique and cozy, the staff are all professional and genuinely friendly, and the food is always delicious. The salad bar is my absolute favorite and something you don’t see much anymore. We visited for my mom’s birthday last week and had a lovely time. My stepdad adores trains, so he loved getting to watch them go by as we ate. I can’t recommend the Beverly Depot enough!”

“Oh my goodness!
I was driving through the Cummings Center in Beverley and realized that it was lunchtime and I needed something for lunch. I drove by one of the office buildings, 100 Cummings, and noticed a sign in the window that said Grass, Market sandwiches, salads, etc. I was like OK sure, I'll grab a sandwich.
I walked in and then saw that they had a lot of ready, made sandwiches and soups, and salads, and I was ready to walk out because I needed to have some thing made fresh for me as I'm a pain in the neck and don't eat a lot of the garnishes that are put on sandwiches. The woman behind the register asked if she could help me.
I told her it was my first time stopping in and that I was curious if I could get one of their sandwiches made my way. She indicated that the one that I referenced was premade this morning, however, she offered me two other options.
The one option that she offered me was the Caprese Panini, which I added chicken. This was the most delicious sandwich I have had in a very long time.
The Panini itself was amazing, the chicken was so so tasty, then the basil and the mozzarella I mean really what more can I say.
I'm not sure how long they've been there, though I do know it is indeed owned by an individual that really needs the support of the community to stay in business.
That's the way these small local shops operate. They need us to support them so that they can continue offering us such amazing food!

I went there with my wife to give it a try , we drove out from Connecticut, and let me tell you it was worth it ! The pizza was well priced and you got a lot for your buck ! The bottom of the pie was just right, the right amount of cheese and WOW that sauce was amazing ! The pizza was overly greasy and the cheese didn’t fall off when you took a bite ! I grew up eating Caserta ‘s pizza off the hill in Providence, I thought their sauce was excellent but I’ve gotta say Little Italy’s was better ! Sponge Bob ( that’s what Tyler calls him ) can make a pizza lol ! 8/10 for me !!”
