“Stopped in this past Saturday, on a trip up from Florida. Watched the dog training class for a bit and their welcome inside, and sampled a couple of the "offerings". Great brews! As a former home brewer, brought back a couple memories (Porter and IPA). And the bartender was GREAT!! 🙂“

“Just a follow up to my recent review about this DQ concerning delicious and sweet ice cream. We could easily forget the One who made the cows who gave us milk and cream and taste buds to appreciate it. The atmosphere was great and I have to give a big shout out to our waitress Rachel, who was a total sweetheart and very accommodating, as well as Tori, who took over as our waitress when Rachel's shift was over. “It’s a lovely setting right by the water, so a fantastic place to go on a sunny day.

Beer-wise I tried three. One of the pilsners was excellent, another was decent, then I tried a NEIPA which I thought was actually pretty poor. So overall a little disappointed in the beers given the reputation this place has, but maybe it was just bad luck. I’d stick to lagers on any future visit.

We also had a pretzel and cheese sauce as a snack and that was very tasty.“

“I’ve been coming to Richardson’s ever since I moved near here. Never once have I left feeling unsatisfied due to the sheer excellence of their work. The staff are so polite, ordering is easy, and best of all, the ice cream is absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place to come on a hot summer’s day to walk around the farm, enjoying a tasty cone. I’ve tried multiple flavors and they are all spectacular. This has been my favorite ice cream shop for years and will continue to be. Get a treat here, you won’t be disappointed whatsoever!“

PBR score 17 out 18 they do not have PBR but no one cares cause good island style restaurant.

Service is always friendly and they are always busy doing something, and how can anyone be upset when you walk in and smell freshly baking cookies? The only downfall is that some cookies do sell out fast, so get there early if you have your eye on something popular.“

Staff was super friendly, but I was surprised that we were 2 of 4 patrons in the whole place at 6:45pm on a Sunday. We went down the road to a busier spot but thought the staff treated us really well while we were there. Thank you!“

Summary: Overall, very good beer with very good service. Dog friendly (inside and out). Food options are limited.

Visited Fri, 5/15/26, late afternoon.
My wife and I each ordered a flight. No overlap. Beers skewed to the malty but covered IPA. All were good, but midnight (stout) and kolsch and amber rye were all excellent. (Honorable mention to cerveza w tanjin rim!)
Dogs are welcome inside and we felt that right away when Jeff (owner) welcomed us and asked if he could treat our pup.
Service was attentive and helpful in selecting beers, giving good insights to what we would like based on our preferences.
Food options were limited to snacks so maybe come for the beer and great vibes which were both abundant on this late Friday afternoon.

Yes, the coffee is excellent and the food is very good, but it's the warmth and hospitality of the owner, Bud, that has impressed us most. We have lived and travelled in many places around the world but rarely have we experienced an owner with such a wonderful attitude and such a welcome. It feels like visiting a friend when we come to Heart and Soul....a place that embodies the name of the cafe and an owner who clearly knows what hospitality means.“

“We had Mr.Petisco deliver food for a baby shower. Mom to be is Brazilian so we wanted to bring a little bit of her home to the party. I had absolutely no idea what to order or how much. We had about 25 people and Lais recommended an incredibly delicious variety of snacks and sweets. They were such a hit we barely had any food left over. The owners are incredibly sweet and helpful and respond to any inquiry quickly. I would like to say Thank you so much for all of your suggestions and delivery which was a huge help! The flavored ones were not overly so - not sweet - and were crafted to represent light flavor alternatives like aperol spritz and lemoncello were the two I tried in a flight. One odd thing was that the tv closest to us had an infomercial on dental implants during a good portion of our visit. I’d think someone in management would be paying attention to that. Maybe put a baseball game on? I didn’t mention it because our bartender was busy keeping everyone fed and happy. She was great. They served my delicious fried clams is a plastic bucket which was unusual. All the clams were under the mountain of fries. The awesome bartender got me a big plate so I could empty the bucket and enjoy my lunch.“
