Our server Carolyn was absolutely amazing- she was so diligent with the allergies at our table and took the time to recommend things that would fit all of our needs. We will definitely be back and would always request her. Food was amazing, huge portions, flavorful, and came out so quickly! A must in the area! The only down-side was parking, but we figured it out!“

The atmosphere was great and I have to give a big shout out to our waitress Rachel, who was a total sweetheart and very accommodating, as well as Tori, who took over as our waitress when Rachel's shift was over. “A huge gust of wind blew my $40 lobster roll and without hesitation the man who was helping people in line got me a new one. I don’t remember his name but he was so helpful in assisting with the menu and again with getting me a new lobster roll. I feel like a lot of places would not do that for a $10 sandwich so for them to do that for a $40 sandwich truly meant a lot“

“This chick had the potential to Ben epic unfortunately it fell a little short. The good, bread and sauce amazing! Fresh love dip. Had regular marinara on sandwich was was light and tomatoey really enjoyed. Chicken cutlet point breaded to perfection. Unfortunately, a little dry. Wife had meatball grinder and she felt the same way. We did go there around 4:00 p.m.. would try again. Oh fries were some of the best I've had in a while.“

“Stopped at Essex Seafood, for the first time, yesterday. I can’t say enough good things about it! The building, inside and out, is immaculate! Once you get inside, the help is courteous and kind! “I had lunch with friends here yesterday and everything was great but I have to mention that our server, Russell, was hands done, one of the best servers I have ever had. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other with cocktails (about an hour!), He paid for a round of drinks because we wanted to order from the brunch menu but missed it because we talked for so long. He said it was his fault for not reminding us! Unheard of! He let us have a leisurely 3 hour lunch, with no pressure at all, and was very attentive when we needed him. He even sent over a delicious birthday dessert without even being asked! Russell is The Best!!“

“Been going here since the late 70’s. One of the best roast beef seafood restaurants on the north shore. I moved from Peabody to Florida in 2018 and wish we had a roast beef seafood place that was even half as good. I still visit Peabody once a year and this is always on my list of places to go. Food is still great. Yes it may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I think they are fair, everywhere prices have increased, I would rather pay a little more and keep the quality. Love this place.“

“This place is a gem. We got there and before we could order food, the power went out all over the area. The staff handled things brilliantly and we finished our cold beers and they gave us our food to go. The server, Haze (sorry if I spelled it wrong), was super friendly and professional as was the whole staff. Bonus: the food is so good. Competition is tough with so many good restaurants in Essex, but The James shines out as equal to or better than the others. The burger was the best burger on the north shore no question.“

The homemade pastas that you bite into and your teeth feel that little firmness,😃, the flavors that your palate starts taking on, your brain instantly wants MORE! As you savor (and possibly moan a bit to loud lol) the incredible flavors of something as simple as carbonara, w/prosciutto, red onions & Romano cheese. Every visit, including take-out has been 💯% spot on! Mentioning take out, we recently dined outside, and watched the grubbers (grub hub) mad dashes in and out multiple times! We recognized at least 3 drivers, non stop pickup and drop orders, repeatedly! Thank you so much Little Store for your incredible hard work (when no one wants to work and think they should get everything free🤬🤬🤬) You are what America is built on!
