Waste of money! Party of 4 we were all disappointed with everything but the salad bar and dessert! We don’t send stuff back so took it home to throw away. After 35 years celebrating there we are done! Filet was a strange dry texture, no taste, same with prime rib and sirloin. Prime rib was tough like a pork chop! Baked stuffed shrimp different recipe and awful! No seasoning! I’m sorry i didn’t listen to other review. Birthday dinner was a big disappointment! We will not be back! This place will be closing soon!
Best steak I have ever eaten and great salad bar
I am sad to write this review. We dined thinking as we were told it was like its sister restaurant that closed, The Hard Cover. As we entered we were greeted if you called it that by a grumpy Hostess .It was the same menu but sitting in a big open room with archaic everything, hardly any Air Conditioner, and dirty. The empty plates are left in a cabinet on the sides of each wall with food left in the open. When emptied it’s in a white plastic bucket by an employee. They say a big sign is when the menus and tables are sticky, we should have left. The food was good, although the steaks needed to rest before being served. The clincher was the ladies room was a sauna, yet the bar was an ice box. It’s a shame we spent over a $130 on a bad dirty atmosphere
Never to return
Ordered clam chowder on cold wet rainy day. The restaurant was very cold. Most customers had coats on. Ordered chowder to warm up. Not hot at all. Barely warm . Very few people in restaurant. Kitchen not busy at all. We were a big party. Sat for 30 minutes before someone came over at all. Not busy at all .0rdered beef Wellington appetizer. Meat was chewy and over cooked.
Our dining table needed a good sanding and cleaning. Many years of build up . Lots of stickiness. Gross!
The last important thing worth mentioning is cleanliness of ladies restroom. Floor was filthy. In particular, the corners of the room had a lot of filthy black building up. Floor needs a thorough cleaning , striping the dirt from corners and completely stripping the floor of crud.
Can’t say I would go back
Great time. Love the restaurant. The bar and the tavern area are awesome!!!
I’ve been eating at the Beverly Depot for special occasions my whole life, and it has never been anything but wonderful. The atmosphere is unique and cozy, the staff are all professional and genuinely friendly, and the food is always delicious. The salad bar is my absolute favorite and something you don’t see much anymore. We visited for my mom’s birthday last week and had a lovely time. My stepdad adores trains, so he loved getting to watch them go by as we ate. I can’t recommend the Beverly Depot enough!
I recently held a surprise birthday party for my son in one of the event rooms… it was great! Meg went above and beyond with helping me plan and setting up the room! Service was amazing!

This is currently my favorite bar and restaurant. It's the definition of unpretentious. They make great martinis, pour generous glasses of wine, and know exactly how to cook a steak. The menu is small and it doesn't change; that is a good thing. They know what they do well and they do it day after day. The salad bar is constantly restocked with fresh greens and veggies, and there's a serve your own bread and cheese station. The space itself is a classic train depot. Service is always good whether they're slammed or slow. I recommend it.
Kid-friendliness: My kids love it. They have a good kids menu. No crayons or anything like that, so your kids might be forced to interact with you for entertainment.

Thanksgiving dinner. ( take -out) First year not cooking, big mistake. The turkey was on the dry side, stuffing, gravy and butternut squash were all good. Whipped potato’s need more butter and cream, dry and thick! Cranberry sauce, one of my favorite’s - missing from the dinner- huge disappointment. The peas and onions were bland and tasteless, butter or sauce might have helped them along. The yellow cake with frosting, a strawberry and whip cream on the side- stale and too sweet. The cake was thick, it wasn’t moist. Would I return? Absolutely not.

The Depot never disappoints. From the bread and cheese with the salad bar to the mints as you leave it's all worth it.
