Had a private event here and had an amazing experience. The owner was responsive and helped us put on an amazing family event in a really nice space. Also… the beer was outstanding. The flagship IPA was really balanced. I typically pass on IPAs because they’re overly bitter but these beers were really well crafted and flavorful.
Coastal Mass Brewing in Beverly, MA for a flight+ & a pour of something dark to start off a three brewery trip in the area. I had heard about these guys in passing, but had never had any of their beer so I was going in completely blind. One thing I did know is that they used to be called Channel Marker Brewing founded in 2017, but rebranded in 2022 to Coastal Mass Brewing. Slowly making my way through the North Shore of Massachusetts this past year has been super rewarding with the awesome places I've checked out. A handful of beer reviewers & influencers invited me to join them which was really cool & of course a great excuse to get some content. I figured being a New England brewery there was a good chance they had some IPA's, it was the other styles I was really interested in though. There was six different IPA styles offered here & a pale ale, along with a blonde, Irish stout, seltzer & more so let's get into it. 🍻🍻🔥☘
I started off with a flight of four with the first taster being the TOWHEAD Blonde, a excellent blonde & super drinkable at 4.5%ABV. My second 4oz was the OKTOBERFEST Marzen, it was above average, bready, & sweet. My third taster was the first of three IPA's in a row, it was the ROD & REEL IPA. A nice solid New England hazy that checked all those citrus boxes. My fourth 4oz was the TAIL FIN IPA, another good hazy which I enjoyed just a bit more than the previous one. The fifth & extra 4oz was the CAPTAIN'S FEAST Triple IPA, a dangerous & deceiving hazy that tasted like a 7.6%ABV, but was a hefty 9.5%ABV. I took a trip to the darkside for my last beer with a full pour of THE COMMODORE Porter, there was a lot happening here with the peanut butter & chocolate, but I loved it. 🍻🍺🍫🔥
All of the seating options here including a few bar seats, tables, hightops & some rail seating. The brewery itself is inside a building with a few other businesses including some fun shops to check out. The aesthetic was simple, but fun with a good amount to check out & look at on the walls. There was a popcorn machine in the back with was really awesome & appreciated to soak up some of that beer before the next brewery. Really fun visit & some good beers made this a place I'd definitely swing back through again in the future, cheers! 🍻🍻🔥☘✌♥️🍺

Beer was really good, got the cantina and hard seltzer. They have free popcorn which is a nice touch. Staff was really really nice. Great vibes in a cool art studio/office building. We drove from Boston and enjoyed our time in Coastal Mass
Tail Fin is seriously so good, on par with some of Treehouse’s IPAs for sure. And every other beer I’ve tried has also been great, they know what they’re doing here. The space inside is small and can get full/noisy, but it has a very friendly atmosphere!
I live in Beverly and what a treat to have such phenomenal beers up the street. As someone who loves Treehouse and Bissell, these guys are truly neck n neck especially in the IPA and Sour Game. Go here once a week for a reason - unreal beers & very nice service
Great beer and great people. You can buy beer by the can to go.
Got some ipas to go. Their flagship ipa was really great. Staff was super friendly
I attended a private event held here hosted by the Beverly/Salem Chabad house on Friday night and was blown away with the hospitalty, service, coziness and beer! What an incredible venue! One of the owners, Tim was gracious and personable. I tried three of the 10 beers they had listed and all of them were unique & yummy! I loved that they aired The Celtics game, too on their large flat screen TV! And their holiday decore was tastefully spread out. I also admire their display of abstract art created by local artists. This is a win win place to stop into for a cold, home made beer while chit chatting among locals. I will be back!
Great beer. Free popcorn. Awesome staff. I’m from out of the area and this place is a hidden gem. Definitely check them out.
Over Priced: At least it's now called a 13oz poor, still @ $10.50 for a pint of 7% ABV beer is a bit excessive & 16% more expensive than TreeHouse.
Update 9/22. Price of beer is very high, especially for @ brewery. They serve 12 oz @8.50 which is $11.33 for a 16oz. Reasonable?
Very Solid Beer, small place. Little tough to find with only a small sign outside. It's in the bottom Right of PORTER MILL BUILDING (sign out front).

Good beers and nice space. Street parking was easy.
Been grabbing cans here since I moved up to Salem from Boston. I thought I was spoiled living in Boston so close to trillium, but honestly this brewery is on that level. Smooth IPAs, a variety of sours, great staff and a good vibe inside. Lucky to have this spot so close by.
Glad my friends came with me to Coastal Mass, otherwise, I would not have fell in love with the Queen's Siren. I always end up with an IPA of some sort, but the Queen's Siren is a sour, but well balanced fruit punch. Got my first growler from here filled with the Queen's Siren and plan to be back at some point. Their beer is on rotation, so as of this review, the Queen's Siren was erased off the list (it was that good!).
If I remember correctly, CMB has been around at least 5 yrs. There's no food truck because it's such a small brewery, but I saw some restaurants sprinkled along the street. So far, nothing has beat CMB on sours.
Incredible beer.
Awesome spot. Genuinely some of the best beer I’ve had.
