The service was 5 star. Our server was one of the bartenders, she was excellent and she was busy, but we never felt neglected. She always checked in to see if we needed anything. Drinks were good, we had jack the ripper and multiple different martinis. The mushroom ravioli was flavorful and the added chicken was tender. Others in our party had the stuffed shells, gnocchi and meat & cheese lasagne. All very good. A gem of a find near our hotel.
Overall, I love going here. They have some of the best pasta and sauces I have ever had. Their pizzas are also good, but I typically don’t order pizza. I’ve always had really good experiences with my service and my food. The reason I didn’t give it a full five stars is because one time I ordered espresso and the espresso was not served with sugar on the side or any cream. Went here on 9/17 and the experience was less than good. Took 15 minutes to get 3 cocktails. OK, fine. Put in an order for a couple of appetizers. Arancini was basically mozzarella sticks in ball form and the shrimp were average at best. Our entrees arrive and the chicken picata is inedible because the chicken has obviously been sitting under a heat lamp. Same with the veal parm...dry and inedible. Chicken parm was edible but the dish is 75% pasta. Overall a poor experience....
