This was a pleasant surprise for us. Food was tasty. Drinks were good. Service was perfect. I would recommend. Not fancy.
Very glad we tried this place, we started off with horchata and chicken empanadas. The horchata was pretty good, I like it with a little more spice to it, but it's a good portion size and not too sweet which I like. The chicken empanadas were amazing they were so crispy, had great flavor, and it came with this great sauce to dip it in that added a nice spiciness to the adobo chicken. Then for the main course I got the pork arepas and my girlfriend got the Mexico city tacos (1 chicken, 1 carnitas, and 1 adobado.) This was my first time trying arepas, and I was really pleased with my introduction. The arepa lightly tastes of corn, but it's kind of fluffy like white bread, it's not the easiest thing to describe if you've never had it but I suggest trying it. It's a great vehicle for the pork that was lightly spiced and cut in cubes, and it was well marbled with bits of fat throughout. The guacamole really brought the arepa together, it was mostly just mashed avocado, some onion, and maybe jalapenos or something, but it was not overpowering or trying to steal the spotlight, just adding the flavor of avocado to the mix, it also came with a nice fresh salad which went perfectly with the meal. My girlfriends tacos were really great. The tortilla tasted just like the corn tortillas we had in Mexico city. Clearly made from actual corn, but unlike in Mexico city the tacos were full of meat and very flavorful. It came with rice and she was hoping it would come with beans, but unfortunately not. All in all though it was really delicious and with the closing of Alcapulcos, this may be our new go to spot for Latin food. Also the best part was that all this came in under 60 dollars, we barely ever get out for a date night spending under 80 dollars, and it was a great meal. It seems like a really great place and I would highly recommend it.

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Everything I've eaten here in my 4 visits has been delicious.
I enjoyed the food. It was better than I thought of Mexican restaurant food. Nice employees, very polite and efficient. It was a little noisier than I like but that's ok.
The food is very good here. Try the Latin specialties like torta or arepas. Service was efficient and polite. Prices seemed reasonable. Would eat here again.
There's a reason they advertise their alcohol more than their food. The food isn't always bad, but it's wildy inconsistent. I've had perfectly enjoyable tacos here before. But half the time it tastes like they're serving me something that's been in the back of their freezer for the past 3 years. Would not recommend.

My wife and I decided to try La Qchara on the last night of the Beverly Dine-Out promotion (8/24/25). I chose the prix-fixe promotion and got the beef empanadas, Quesabirria, and churros with vanilla ice cream. All were very good, and I would definitely order again. My wife got the MuyRico bowl with salmon add-on, and she took half of the large portion home.
I'm not sure if our server was inexperienced, but she never came back to check on us to see if we needed anything else or to check on the food. Then, we had to wave down one of the other servers to get takeout boxes, again to get the check, and again to pay the check. She appeared preoccupied with doing the end-of-the-night cleanup. We chalked it up to inexperience!

The food was delicious and the restaurant was well designed and inviting, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Small place with good prompt service. I'd happily return.
We had a wonderful time! Great at food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely go back!
I keep thinking about how delicious the spicy margarita was here! The food and service were amazing too. Definitely going back soon.

I dont leave reviews, absolute worse birria tacos ive ever had. Don't order them. Margarita was good, starr was good enough i think my waitress was new which is fine the other lady was friendly. But unless it was the person in the kitchens first day. Oof
My family and I came in for Mothers day. Qchara was wonderful. It wasn't busy, wasn't loud, and there wasn't a wait to be seated or to order. We were greeted by a friendly young lady who seated us right away. We had a delicious appetizer, and our food was also delicious and prepared very fast. We really enjoyed that were got to enjoy a meal in a nice, quiet, and welcoming space. The staff was very attentive and took great care of us. great place at a decent price
We were the first to walk in but the group who came after us ordered food and drinks before us, we waited 20 minutes until we got greeted and put our drinks in while the table was already eating and had drinks.. then forgot one of our friends meal, it was only 3 of us and the other party was 4 people and the place was empty
Great spot with great food.
Our new favorite Latin place. Great Margheritas, tacos, tostonies, and mains.
