This place used to be a five star for me, but since my friend was discriminated against after making a reservation, I will no linger go here. Today I called to make a reservation for three people for a birthday tonight. The woman who answered said what time do you want to come in? I said six or six thirty. She said 6:30pm and I said okay and I gave her my phone number. At the end I told her one of the guests coming was in a wheelchair and I was hoping to sit near the entrance to the hibachi room. The woman then said we could not come tonight because she had a big party of 25 plus people at 5:30pm and that we could no longer come. She only canceled after I mentioned my friend’s wheelchair. I told her what she was doing wasn’t right and that it was illegal actually. This woman and this establishment shouldn’t treat propel this way and I will never go there again. My daughter and I really liked it here but it has been tainted now after this interaction. We have come here many many times. My friend was recently paralyzed a year ago and we used to come here all the time with my daughter and this was going to be the first time we returned all together since my friends accident. I am very upset that this has happened and I am hoping it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Food was terrible.. please shut down .. soup tasted like hot water … rice ain’t had no ethnicity . WORST FOOD IVE TASTED IN BEVERLY SO FAR …. I recommend you drive in another direction.. get off that street just in case this fraudulence is contagious
My daughter accidentally ordered from the wrong location yesterday. She was at work, busy, and made a mistake. When she realized what had happened she tried to speak with someone on the phone and tell them the situation and that she would definitely pay for the order even though she could not pick it up (several hours away). She was yelled at, hung up on, sworn at...and could not make the woman on the phone understand that she would gladly pay for the order, but could not pick it up. She tried to call back several times and was met with the rudest encounter of her life.
the miso soup was lackluster. sushi was simple for all that it was. i eas expecting something more fancy for the price. it felt like they slapped it together fast.
I want to start off by saying the food was very good and the hibachi chef was funny. When it came time to pay the server asked me to leave a bigger tip.
Due to that incident I will never return. I think it’s distasteful to ask for a bigger tip when the tip and bill was already paid beyond in full.
In terms of the food, it was very good though.
This was a terrible experience even the water not good the food was either undercooked, just plain bad, or both. The whole place just feels kinda sketchy would not recommend.
I ordered Pad Thai, not sure what I was served but it certainly wasn’t Pad Thai. Eggplant and red peppers?? Sat at the bar where Fox News was prominently being run. Given that, even if the food has been great I wouldn’t go back.
Hibachi with Ming is the best
Had a great birthday for my daughter

Much too loud in the hibachi area. Could not talk with our party. The banging was far too loud and Unnecessary. Waitress never brought us water, and was inattentive.Makes for an unpleasant and rude experience.
Won’t return.
the Sushi was ok, as was the service and ambience . Value was pretty good.
we were told at the hibachi table that we could not order off the menu and then it was ok to order off the menu then the food was lousy and when we wanted to have all seperate checks they said NO when we all got up to leave the waiter said No Tip No Tip we were not happy with the food NO NO TIP Never go there again

Amikado in Beverly, MA, is the kind of place where you come for the "all-you-can-eat sushi" but end up leaving full of...rice. Seriously, I’ve never seen so much rice on sushi in my life. I felt like I was starring in an episode of Extreme Carbohydrate Consumption. Fish? Barely saw it. There was fish on the sushi.
The ambiance? Let’s just say it’s about as exciting as the waiting room at a DMV. The highlight of the night was watching a large party in the hibachi section having the time of their lives having sake sprayed on their faces, while I tried to figure out if my waiter thought I was invisible or just a huge inconvenience. It was my second time here, and once again, service was as enthusiastic as a sloth on vacation.
But hey, AYCE sushi options are limited around here, so I guess I’ll come prepared next time—with a miniature trash can for all the extra rice.
