Mission Boathouse in Beverly has an excellent location to go with the exceptional food and service. They offer some staples like swordfish and salmon to filet. They also have some great innovative dishes like the short rib empanadas. They even have sushi! The bar is well stocked and makes a great gin and tonic.
For the service. It's always excellent. My family requires a high table. Though you cannot specify a table on the reservation, you can make a request. They have always gone the extra mile and been able to accommodate us. It's always very much appreciated!

We had a 6:30 PM reservation and were seated immediately, but then waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food due to extremely poor planning by the restaurant.

We were informed that a 30-person private party was being served upstairs, and the kitchen had no concurrent process in place to manage both the party and the main dining room. As a result, the rest of the restaurant was essentially put on hold until the large party was completed. That is unacceptable for a restaurant operating at this price point.

To make matters worse, we were seated directly next to the kitchen, where a staff member was yelling orders continuously because the kitchen was so far behind. This completely ruined our dining experience and made conversation impossible.

Our server was kind and professional, and we fully tipped her, as this was clearly not her fault. However, management took no accountability—there was no apology, no explanation, and no attempt at compensation despite the excessive wait and disruption.

The food, once it finally arrived, was marginal at best for the price, and certainly not worth the experience.

We will not be returning, and we will be sharing this experience with friends and family. Disappointing experience overall.

Calamari had more banana peppers fried in the same batter than little pieces of squid. Cobb salad was all lettuce with a tiny piece of bacon, slivers of half an egg, no tomatoes or cukes and a few bean sprouts for $19.00. For now on we'll see you at The Anchor across the street!

Will not return. I have tried dinner and brunch and was not happy with food or service. At brunch my egg Benedict was cold, and my egg was overcooked, our waitress only checked on us two times and left every single dirty plate on our table to the point which we were stacking plates and could barely fit. Had to get up and ask the bartender for a spoon. 👎

Amanda is the reason I had to give a review. She handled a huge christmas party with grace and precision. Absolute top notch service, we saw someone spill a drink and they took care of it immediately with a positive attitude. This place will really take care of you. 6/5 stars

We went for Thanksgiving dinner sampled which was great, but we sampled the whole menu, everything was outstanding. What a great setting on the Beverly waterfront.

We love the comfort, ambience and friendly nature of everyone at Mission Boathouse! We especially love the brightness and view of the harbor. The service is always wonderful!
We especially love the the relaxing brunch! Only the original French toast was delicious, would love it to be served with fresh fruit!
The new thicker French toast was a bit dry or maybe just not a good day! Thank you for nice experience every other week or so we walk down!

I ate there with a family of 4 on Thanksgiving. I do understand Thanksgiving can be hectic but when you charge $60+ for some dishes I expected more. The food was great for some dishes but not so much on others. The pumpkin cheesecake was frozen on the inside and the pizza was floppy (borderline soggy). The rest of the food was well prepared. The server was nice and was busy but again......This wasnt a $20 per dish restaurant. They provide nothing for the table. If you want something like bread they charge you. When we asked for an order of bread it was never delivered. The server was very nice and patient as we had some indecisive guests. Some of the basic serving expectations were lacking though. Water no ice, etc. Deserts.. no silverware with it. The boathouse can improve thats for sure. We went here only because our typical place for Thanksgiving was already booked. They didnt make us think twice about switching to them permanently next year. We will be going back to our original place.

We visited Mission Boathouse tonight for dinner and were thoroughly impressed. We are from Maryland and the bar is set pretty high when it comes to seafood for us- Mission Boathouse has a great seafood game. We enjoyed the clam chowder, calamari, grilled swordfish piccata and baked haddock dishes. Loved the atmosphere and decor as well.
